  • Patent number: 11995886
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods of generating a complete and accurate geometrically optimized environment. Stereo pair images depicting an environment are selected from a plurality of images to generate a Digital Surface Model (DSM). Characteristics of objects in the environment are determined and identified. The geometry of the objects may be determined and fit with polygons and textured facades. By determining the objects, the geometry, and the material from original satellite imagery and from a DSM created from the matching stereo pair point clouds, a complete and accurate geometrically optimized environment is created.

  • Patent number: 8285906
Abstract: A module is provided for installation in a drive bay of a computer and is adapted to accommodate expansion circuitry rather than the electromechanical devices conventionally installed in drive bays. A system interface board is provided for insertion into an expansion socket on the computer's motherboard and is connected to the module, thus interfacing the expansion circuitry to the computer. The expansion circuitry can be greater in volume and is more accessible and more easily cooled than expansion circuitry installed in expansion sockets on the motherboard.

  • Publication number: 20070214545
Abstract: A bandanna-style head covering having a crown portion, a tail member, a pair of tie members, and a receptacle mounted to the interior of the crown portion, the opening of the receptacle being closed by folding forward the tail member. Snap fasteners, hook-and-loop fasteners or the like may be used to secure the tail member to the receptacle. The tie members function as a carrying handle, and fasteners may be provided to releasably join the tie members to each other.

  • Publication number: 20060081027
Abstract: A method of disposing and treating a biodegradable material that produces an unpleasant odor when it is watered and stirred. The method makes use of an assembly having a container, a standard garden hose in fluid communication with a faucet, a pressure nozzle in fluid communication with the standard garden hose and a nozzle-retaining apparatus oriented so that the water expressed from the nozzle is directed into the container so as to produce a stirring motion within the container. The biodegradable material is placed into the container and the faucet is actuated to cause water to flow through the hose and out the nozzle. This waters and stirs the biodegradable material while the person performing the method remains at a distance far enough away from the container to avoid the unpleasant odor that is emitted from the container by virtue of the watering and stirring.

  • Publication number: 20060068486
Abstract: An assembly adapted to facilitate the disposing and treating of a biodegradable material that produces an unpleasant odor when it is watered and stirred and fragmented. The assembly includes a container and a fitting for accepting and retaining the insertive coupler of a standard garden hose. In addition, a pressure nozzle is in fluid communication with the fitting for receiving water from the fitting and expressing the water under pressure. Finally, a nozzle-retaining apparatus is oriented so that the water expressed from the nozzle is directed into the container at an angle adapted to produce a stirring motion within the container.

  • Publication number: 20050058271
Abstract: An auxiliary connection mechanism for allowing a Digital Switching System (DSS) to share an analog line with an analog device (via an auxiliary device port) is disclosed. The auxiliary connection mechanism includes a pair of relays for releasably connecting the auxiliary device port and the DSS to the analog line. When the analog line is idle, both the analog device and the DSS are connected to the line in ordre to receive incoming calls on the analog line. However, once one of the devices (either the analog device or the DSS) uses the line, the other device should not access the line. A busy line detect circuit is included to detect whether a device is using the line.

  • Publication number: 20020085550
Abstract: A switch for establishing call sessions in a communication system including a packet network. The switch receives first packets including a source address from at least one communication link. The switch includes a shuffling unit operative to extract data from the first packets for generating second packets at least partly on a basis of the source address of the first packets, the second packets being released to the packet network. The switch also includes a switching unit for receiving third packets from the packet network, the switching unit being operative to perform switching of the third packets for establishing at least one communication session, such as a telephone call between two parties or a conference call between multiple parties. The switch is scalable to accommodate an increasing number of packets within the communication system, where these packets may be transporting data and/or voice signals.

  • Patent number: 6036529
Abstract: A connector assembly for releasably interconnecting at least one cable connector connected to a respective cable to at least one module connector attached to a module. The connector assembly comprises a hollow body portion, a cable guide portion and a connector sub-assembly for mating with the cable connector and the module connector. The majority of the connector sub-assembly is placed inside the body portion. The cable guide portion is pivotally connected to the body portion of the connector assembly to permit movement of the cable guide portion between an open position in which access to manually mate or unmate the cable connector with the connector sub-assembly is provided and a closed position in which the cable guide portion prevents such access. The cable guide guides the respective cable and prevents breakage of the respective cable due to excessive bending.
