The clip portion includes a base arranged at the bottom side and having at least one tooth projecting from it, at least one clip arm connected to the base at a proximal end and having an opposite distal end spaced from the base and extending toward the rear end. A neck is connected to the clip portion and extends toward the front end. A hook portion is connected to the neck opposite the clip portion.

Abstract: A system for attaching a cable to the roof of a building is disclosed. The system includes a clip with a base portion and a cable attachment portion. The base portion is configured to attach to a shingle on a roof. The cable attachment portion includes a cable attachment loop. The cable attachment loop includes a plurality of slits cut therein. A cable is able to be secured to the cable attachment loop with a tie. The cable can be oriented in various directions by routing the tie through either of the cable attachment loop or the plurality of slits. A method for using the cable attachment system is also disclosed.

Abstract: A system is provided for preventing the buildup of ice dams on a roof system of a building. The system includes a heating cable configured to generate heat, and a fastening system configured to hold the heating cable in place. The fastening system further includes at least one adhesive clip which is configured to adhere to smooth flat surfaces present on the building. The adhesive clip includes a cable cradle and a base portion with a bottom surface on which an adhesive layer is arranged.
