  • Publication number: 20060132852
Abstract: In a photographic processing method, an image unit is received. The image unit has a plurality of printable image frames including first and second data frames and a plurality of non-data frames. The data frames each having different, alternative fulfillment information. A bitstream is generated of the image frames. The bitstream includes a chronology or other ranking of the data frames. The data frames are extracted from the bitstream. The data frames are read. The highest ranked of the data frames is determined. Fulfillment of the non-data frames is provided responsive to the alternative fulfillment information of the highest ranked of the data frames.

  • Publication number: 20060132839
Abstract: In a photofinishing method an image unit is received. The image unit has a plurality of image frames including a data frame and a plurality of non-data frames. The data frame bears access information for a database. The image frames are printed. The access information is readable on a print of the data frame. The image frames are transmitted to the database. In the database, the data frame is extracted and the access information is read. The access information on the print of the data frame can be used to access the non-data frames in the database for retrieval or to obtain additional prints or other output.

  • Publication number: 20060133784
Abstract: In a photographic processing method, an image unit having a plurality of printable image frames is received. The image frames include a data frame having subchannel information. An indicator of the presence of the subchannel information is detected. A bitstream of all of the image frames is generated. Responsive to the indicator, the data frame is extracted from the bitstream and subchannel information is read from the data frame. Fulfillment of image frames of the bitstream is provided in accordance with the subchannel information. If no indicator is detected, then the image frames are fulfilled in accordance with a different, default subchannel.

  • Patent number: 5528288
Abstract: In an illumination system for a film telecine scanner of the type adapted to provide a line of illumination on the image frames of a film which is supported for movement in a film gate of the scanner, an improved light control system for adjusting the amount of light that is delivered from a light source to an integrating cylinder to take into account fluctuations in intensity of the light source and desired intensity changes in the line of illumination upon a change of scene in the image frames of the film as the film is being scanned.
