Abstract: A method and apparatus are presented for dynamically testing video equipment. A test pattern utilizes a presentation of alternating pixels and lines, along with features of the electronic video/graphics generator in which it is present to effect a close approximation to the demonstrable contrast transfer function percentage of the system or display under test. The test pattern, while depending on features of the electronic video/graphics generator for convenience of operation, may also be modified to be used as a static pattern capable of very similar utility.

Abstract: A decorative fastener assembly including a nut insert and a decorative cap. The cap includes a flatted portion sleeved over a flatted portion of the nut insert and further includes a flange portion proximate its open lower end. An O-ring seal is compressed between the flange of the cap and the circular enlargement of the nut insert to preclude the entry of moisture between the cap and the nut insert. A top end wall portion of the cap is welded to an annular weld projection on the top end of the nut insert in surrounding relation to the central bore of the nut insert. As the weld projection is melted to perform the welding operation, the cap moves further downwardly on the nut insert to further compress the O-ring seal between the cap flange and the circular enlargement of the nut insert. The cap flange portion proximate its open lower end is then crimped over a circular enlargement of the nut insert.

Abstract: A hand-held spray unit includes a main body preferably having a pistol grip handle depending therefrom with a passageway having an inlet at one end and a nozzle outlet at an opposite end and a mixing chamber adjacent the outlet end with a valve to control one of the handles to control flow of a pressurized fluid. A specially-designed supply container is preferably releasably mounted on the top of the body and has a horizontally elongated tapered funnel-like profile which slopes down toward the front end thereof and extends forwardly and rearwardly of the handle to provide a balance weight of the contents of the supply container. The front of the container has an outlet communicating with the mixing chamber. A rectangular interlocking connection between the container and spray unit body provides a positive releasable interlock therebetween.
