    Abstract: An automatically extending and retracting step system according to the solution may reside in a retracted state when the deck of a car-carrying vehicle is substantially horizontal to the ground, i.e. when the deck is in a payload state. Advantageously, when the deck is tilted and extended to a ramp state for receiving cargo, the step system according to the solution extends laterally outward from beneath the deck, thereby providing a convenient and visible step for a user to use in getting down from the deck. When the deck is returned from the ramp state to its payload state, the step automatically retracts to a travel state beneath the deck.

Account credentials for the widgets are transmitted to corresponding server-hosted services at network addresses indicated in manifests of the widgets. Data associated with the widgets is received from the server-hosted services. A view of the dashboard panel is composed that includes a view of the widgets incorporating the received data. The dashboard panel view is caused to be rendered on the base graphical canvas.

In one embodiment, a monitoring system is provided that includes a passive backplane and one more functional circuits that can couple to the backplane. Each of the functional circuits that are coupled to the backplane can have access to all data that is delivered to the backplane. Therefore, resources (e.g., computing power, or other functionality) from each functional circuits can be shared by all active functional circuits that are coupled to the backplane. Because resources from each of the functional circuits can be shared, and because the functional circuits can be detachably coupled to the backplane, performance of the monitoring systems can be tailored to specific applications.     Abstract: There is provided a computing system for optimizing a plurality of fraud detection strategies used to generate a corresponding set of potentially fraudulent transactions. The system determines an overall fraud value such as an average fraud value for each transaction based on pre-defined factors and identifies a particular strategy having a highest average fraud value for its fraudulent transactions as a highest priority on a ranked list of strategies. The system is configured to remove each transaction from the remaining other strategies if the same as the fraudulent transactions in the identified strategy and calculate an average fraud value for the remaining other strategies. The system then ranks the next highest priority fraud detection strategy having the highest average fraud value while removing its corresponding transactions flagged from other remaining strategies and repeat the ranking until all the strategies have been ranked and apply the ranked list to subsequent transactions.
