The rotor is rotatably mounted to the stator frame and driven by the primary drive during continuous three hundred and sixty degrees of rotation. A fixed or backup jaw may also be mounted to the stator frame. Tubular grippers on the fixed jaw grip a first side of a tubular joint. The grip on the rotor grips the opposite side of the tubular joint. High torque low-rotational speed applied to the rotor torques the joint. Low torque high-rotational speed applied to the rotor spins the joint.

    Abstract: Flue-gas analysis safety apparatus 10 for a gas or oil-fired device 30 having an electrical connection and a flue 54 for combustion gases, comprises a hazardous gas detection element 12 for placement in the flue 54 to monitor flue gas, and a controller 14 for automatically regulating a gas to air ratio in the flue gas based on a signal from the hazardous gas detection element 12. The controller 14 is able to halt a flow of electricity to the gas or oil-fired device 30 if the gas to air ratio in the flue gas cannot be regulated to fall within a predetermined safe parameter. Preferably, the hazardous gas detection element 12 includes a wireless transmitter, and the controller 14 includes a wireless receiver so that the hazardous gas detection element 12 is wirelessly communicable with the controller 14. A gas or oil-fired device having the apparatus 10, and a method are also provided.

    Abstract: Novel pro-drugs to new and unnatural dipeptoids of .alpha.-substituted Trp-Phe derivatives useful as agents in the treatment of obesity, hypersecretion of gastric acid in the gut, gastrin-dependent tumors, or as antipsychotics are disclosed. Further, the dipeptoids are antianxiety agents and antiulcer agents. They are agents useful for preventing the response to the withdrawal from chronic treatment or with use of nicotine, diazepam, alcohol, cocaine, caffeine, or opioids. The pro-drugs are also useful in treating and/or preventing panic attacks. Also disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions and methods of treatment using the pro-drugs as well as processes for preparing them and novel intermediates useful in their preparation. An additional feature of the invention is the use of the subject pro-drug compounds in diagnostic compositions.
