Abstract: A device for purging marine hydraulic steering systems containing a hydraulic pump actuated by a boat steering-wheel and having first and second fluid inlet/outlet ports, a hydraulic piston cylinder device with first and second chambers on either side of the piston and first and second hydraulic conduits between the inlet/outlet ports of the pump and corresponding inlet/outlet ports to the respective chambers. A valve unit can be coupled into the respective connection between the inlet/outlet port of the respective chamber and the inlet/outlet port of the pump, via which valve unit air in the fluid can be released. The valve unit (8) has manually operated purging valves (33, 34), by which the respective chamber (12, 13) can be coupled to a third conduit (26) which opens into an inlet (5) of a fluid receptacle (1).

Abstract: Hydraulic steering arrangement, comprising a first hydraulic pump connected to a steering wheel, a piston cylinder device hydraulically coupled to the first hydraulic pump and arranged for connection to a steering mechanism, a second hydraulic pump and a second piston cylinder device hydraulically coupled via a servo valve to the second hydraulic pump. The second piston cylinder device is connected to the steering mechanism. The servo valve has an actuating element which is affected by the first piston cylinder device to activate the second piston cylinder device, and which comprises a tubular element limitedly displaceable relative to the servo valve housing. A guide (20) is axially displaceably mounted in the tubular element (13) and is joined to the piston cylinder devices (5, 17).

Abstract: Cable steering device, especially for boats, with an operating cable (3, 4) extending between a steering wheel mechanism (1, 2) and a steering mechanism (8, 10). The operating cable consists of a flexible sheath (3) and a flexible operating core (4) displaceable in the sheath. The cable has a pair of 90.degree. curved portions (20, 22) which are fixed in individual load removing elements (24) in the form of a rigid rail with a U-profile.

Abstract: Servo-assisted cable steering arrangement, especially for boats, with an operating cable (4) connected to a steering wheel mechanism (1, 2) and displaceable in a casing (3). The outer end of the operating cable is joined to an operating rod (6) connected to a steering mechanism. The rod is displaceable in a guide tube (20) which is fixed to a valve tube (5), which is limitedly displaceable relative to and forms an operating element for a servo valve (8) of a hydraulic servo-unit in the form of piston cylinder device (10).

A bowl-shaped member inside the oil container conducts oil flowing from the inlet to the outlet along the wall of the oil container.
