  • Patent number: 5913458
Abstract: Apparatus for adjusting the axial position of a rotatable feeder (2) in a charger for sluicing lignocellulose material and, if appropriate, liquid from a first space, with a first pressure, to a second space, with a different pressure, which apparatus (10) comprises an adjustment housing (11) connected immovably to the charger housing and an adjustment shaft (16) which moves the feeder in an axial direction. A worm wheel (23) is arranged on the adjustment shaft, and is coaxial with respect to the same, a shaft for a worm (27) extends through the adjustment housing wall, the worm (27) itself is in engagement with the worm wheel, turning members (29) are arranged to turn the worm and the worm wheel, conversion mechanisms (25, 26) are arranged for converting the rotational movement of the worm wheel, into an axial movement of the adjustment shaft and thus the feeder.

  • Patent number: 5770072
Abstract: The invention relates to a valve arrangement which can preferably be used in connection with a removal system comprising digester screens for digester liquids in cellulose digesters. The valve is characterized by a housing (1) with inlet openings (7) for digester liquid from each screen and at least one outlet opening (5) for the digester liquid from the screens and also at least one inlet opening (8) for digester liquid intended for back-flushing the screens and a rotor (10) in the housing (1) which is designed to shut off intermittently at least one of the inlet openings (7) from the screens and instead open the latter for the liquid for back-flushing.

  • Patent number: 5582340
Abstract: A stapler for driving staples (5) into an object (6) has a frame (1), a magazine (2) arranged in the frame and containing staples (5), and a drive element (3) adapted to push staples (5) out of the magazine (2) and drive them into the object (6) and, to this end, be reciprocated by means of a drive mechanism. The drive mechanism consists of a drive cylinder (19) rotatably mounted in the frame (1) and having an endless groove (23) in its circumferential surface. The groove (23) extends substantially helically from a starting point to a turning point axially spaced therefrom, and thence substantially helically back to the starting point. The groove (23) accommodates a groove follower (24) connected to the drive element (3) in order, upon rotation of the drive cylinder (19), to reciprocate the drive element (3).

  • Patent number: 5516025
Abstract: A stapler for driving staples (2) into an object (3) has a drive element (1) for pushing a U-shaped staple (2) out of a magazine (10) to drive its legs (2a) through the object. The stapler also has an anvil device (11) comprising two anvil members (4) which are substantially symmetrically arranged with respect to the staple (2) driven into the object, and which are each pivotable about an axis (5) substantially perpendicular to the plane of the staple, the anvil members (4) being pivotable between a starting position, in which they are so positioned that the free leg ends of the staple (2) will engage the respective anvil member when the staple is driven into the object, and an end position, in order, when pivoting from the starting position to the end position, to bend the projecting end portions of the staple legs (2a) driven through the object (3), against the object in a direction towards each other.

  • Patent number: 5481429
Abstract: A device for distributing cooling air to switchgear cubicles, the method including distributing cooling air or other cooled gas in a series of closely arranged switchgear cubicles (1a-1d) which are insulated from the surrounding air, the cooling air or gas flowing along the same path as the current lines extending through and into the cubicles. The air or gas is distributed to the respective cubicles (1a-1d) in the series of cubicles via channels (5,6a-6d) in the form of protective channels or busbar boxes which constitute semiprotection for the single-phase or multi-phase busbars (4a-4d) which distribute electric current to the cubicles and to the electric equipment present in the cubicles. The cubicles. The direction of the cooling gas distribution is the same as the current direction or reversed relative thereto.

  • Patent number: 4566741
Abstract: A supervisory desk comprises a top section with a desk surface, or the like, a stand section with at least one leg of adjustable length which supports the top section so that the height of the top section above the stand section can be adjusted. The leg(s) is/are inclined (e.g. at 45.degree.) to the vertical plane, whereby ergonomic conditions are obtained for an operator using the desk having regard to the height of the desk surface, the leg space below the top section and the view over the rear edge of the desk surface.
