  • Patent number: 7401044
Abstract: Systems and methods for electronic trading that provide incentives for gathering orders, making markets, and submitting block orders are provided. These systems and methods may first determine if the trader qualifies for an incentive. This determination may be made based upon one or more characteristics, such as price, size, duration, etc., of orders submitted to the trading system by the trader. Once the trader has been determined as being eligible for one or more incentives, the incentives that are provided may include reduced transaction costs, cash payments, priority or exclusivity in trading, self execution of transactions, etc.

  • Publication number: 20080140728
Abstract: A system for injecting code into an HTML file comprises a memory and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory. The memory stores code. The processor receives a request for content. The processor determines whether the request for content includes a request for compression and, if so, deletes the request for compression associated with the requested content. The processor retrieves the requested content. If the retrieved content is associated with an HTML file, then the processor injects the code into the HTML file to thereby modify the HTML file. The processor communicates the modified HTML file to a client.

  • Publication number: 20070250438
Abstract: A data processing system for implementing transaction management of auction-based trading for specialized items such as fixed income instruments. The data processing system provides a highly structured trading protocol implemented through a sequence of trading paradigms. The system employs a distributed computer processing network linking together a plurality of commonly programmed controlled workstations. The protocol and its programmed controlling logic enhances trading efficiency, rewards market makers and fairly distributes market opportunity to system users.

  • Patent number: 7278325
Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring the flow rate of a single phase fluid, particularly a gas, through a conduit. A pulse of tracer fluid is discharged or injected into a first fluid flowing through a conduit, the concentration of the tracer fluid is measured as a function of time at a downstream from where it is injected, and the flow rate of the first fluid is determined based on the concentration measurements. The concentration of tracer fluid is preferably sampled substantially continuously from when the tracer gas first passes the measuring point until substantially all of the tracer fluid has passed the measuring point and the sampled concentrations integrated. The concentration of tracer fluid is preferably determined by measuring the thermal conductivity of the mixture of the first fluid and tracer fluid which is dependent upon the concentration of the tracer fluid.

  • Publication number: 20070149423
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a spray dried powder comprising: (a) forming a warm, stirred aqueous slurry comprising: inorganic salts, at least one binding agent and 0.001 to 20% by weight of capsules based on the weight of spray dried powder, said capsules containing benefit agents including at least perfume, and (b) spray drying the resultant slurry to form a spray dried powder, said capsules being such that: 1) more than 40% of the benefit agents remain encapsulated 60 minutes after dispersion thereof at 70° C. in the slurry as defined in the “slurry survival test” in a sealed vessel without agitation; and 2) more than 30% of the benefit agents added for 15 minutes to an ambient slurry as defined in the “spray dry test” survive spray drying through a laboratory scale spray drier.
