    Abstract: Apparatus (10) for applying adhesive to a surface to be tiled has a container (11) for the adhesive and a pair of opposed end walls (12,14) at least one of which is removable. The container has an outlet port (24) and one end wall (14) supports a plunger (19,23) for driving adhesive through the port (24) out of the container A drive mechanism such as a hydraulic ram (17) is provided on that one end wall (14) to cause movement of the plunger (19,23). A multi-outlet nozzle (26) for adhesive is connected by a duct (25) to the outlet port so that a plurality of beads of the adhesive are laid on the surface to be tiled.

    Abstract: A tiling adhesive application system comprises a backing sheet with a series of parallel grooves extending thereacross and each carrying a bead of tiling adhesive. A release sheet is bonded to the edge margins of the backing sheet to form a sealed package. The backing sheet is transparent and of the same size as a tile to be adhered to a wall. The release sheet is peeled away to expose the adhesive which is then applied to the wall while carried by the backing sheet, whereafter the backing sheet is lifted away from the wall leaving the adhesive ready to bond a tile to the wall.

    Abstract: A carousel comprises turntable (10) mounted for rotation about a vertical axis on a frame (12, 13). The turntable (10) carries a plurality, and typically four, see-saw arrangements (11), each of which comprises an arm (43) pivoted centrally to a support (40) and carrying seats (44) at its two ends. Hydraulic rams are arranged to effect movement of the arm (43), as the turntable rotates. The movement of the arms may be linked to the rotation of the turntable. The see-saws may be aesthetically configured to add appeal to young children.
