  • Publication number: 20230398542
Abstract: In an acid digestion reaction performed in a vessel, an elastic lid or septum can be mounted to the mouth of the vessel with a flanged band. In response to determining that a predetermined pressure has been reached in the vessel, a closing force being applied to the lid or septum can be reduced to initiate venting from the vessel. One or more parameters, including the closing force, can be monitored during the venting, and the closing force can be responsively adjusted to optimize the venting. The closing force can be provided by a clamping apparatus that may or may not include a hydraulic system. The clamping apparatus can be configured to increase the closing force in response to increased hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic system. The clamping apparatus can include an engager having an upwardly extending recess extending at least partially around a downwardly protruding portion of the engager.

  • Publication number: 20080235189
Abstract: A method and system of searching for information on a network includes receiving a search query from a user by a search system, processing the search query by a profile engine of the search system, providing a listing of search results, including personas who know about the search query, based on profiles and posts of the personas, where the personas are users of the search system, and facilitating further interaction with the listing of personas and tags for related content.

  • Publication number: 20070267323
Abstract: The atomization of a fluid injected into an atomization zone is enhanced by providing the fluid with an effective amount of an additive capable of reducing the static and dynamic interfacial tension of the fluid components.

  • Publication number: 20060213811
Abstract: A reforming process in which a hydrocarbon feed containing aliphatic hydrocarbons is converted to a hydrocarbon product comprising an increased proportion of aromatics by passage over a reforming catalyst in a sequence of moving bed reactors operating under reforming conditions including moderate hydrogen pressure. The process is applicable when a former fixed moving bed reformer has been converted to moving bed reactor operation with the recycle and other ancillary equipment retained so that moderate pressure (hydrogen partial pressure at least 11 barg) is required, usually with a catalysts such as Pt/Re which tend to exhibit excessive hydrogenolysis activity in moving bed service. The recycle hydrogen stream is split with a portion going to at least one reactor subsequent to the first reactor.

  • Publication number: 20050274648
Abstract: A fixed-bed catalytic reformer unit is converted to moving bed reactor/cyclic regenerator operation by re-using the fixed bed reactors of the original unit as regenerator vessels operated in cyclic regeneration mode in a new catalyst regeneration section. A flow connection, suitably a liftpipe, is provided to convey spent catalyst from the spent catalyst outlet of a new moving bed reactor section to the converted regenerator section, together with a flow connection for regenerated catalyst from the regenerator section to the regenerated catalyst inlet of the new moving bed reactor section. A flow control distributor directs spent catalyst sequentially to each of the regenerator vessels to carry out the regeneration with regeneration gas. Each regenerator vessel is cycled through a fill, regeneration, discharge sequence to maintain a continuous flow of catalyst to and from the reactor section.
