  • Patent number: 6553941
Abstract: An improved squeegee with integral nozzle and wiping blade for the washing and grooming of animals, especially large animals such as horses and other livestock, includes a body portion, a valve to regulate the flow of water, a nozzle oriented to direct a spray of water generally perpendicularly downwards relative to the body, and an arcuate wiping blade. The arcuate shape of the wiping blade enables it to be oriented relative to the surface being cleaned so that the curvature of the blade conforms to the shape of the surface. The apparatus is connected to a supply of water such as a garden hose, such that when it is drawn across the animal's body, water from the nozzle wets the animal's coat, and the wiping blade then removes water, soap, and dirt.

  • Patent number: 5119677
Abstract: A gauge protector provides a shield device for the protection of the lenses of skin diving gauges and related articles, and includes one or more crossbar elements extending between crossbar base portions, of a size and shape to fit over the gauge lens, and attaches to the outside of the dive gauge body and/or its associated flexible protective boot member. The crossbar base portions preferably include downwardly-extending peripheral flange portions for releasable capture of the sides of the gauge body and/or protective boot member, and may themselves include open portions to enable passage of a gauge hose, strap, or similar member. Alternatively, any other method of attachment to the gauge body or boot member may be used, including friction-fit, toothed grasping, strapping, mechanical connection, or the like.

  • Patent number: 4854534
Abstract: A top release platform bracket utilizes a two-piece construction that provides secure attachment and quick removal of a swim board to a boat transom. One piece of the platform bracket is a wall portion that bolts directly to the boat transom with through-bolts. This wall portion includes a transom plate for attachment to the transom, and an upper and a lower flange member secured to the transom plate so that the flanges are oriented generally horizontally when the transom plate is bolted to the transom. The other piece of the platform bracket is a separate shelf portion, which screws directly to the swim board itself. The shelf portion includes a horizontal support plate for attachment to the swim board; a vertical support member, which is mounted to the horizontal support plate at an angle so that the plane of the swim board will be parallel to the water's surface; and, if necessary, a brace member triangulating the two.

  • Patent number: 4809637
Abstract: A platform bracket utilizes a two-piece construction providing secure attachement of a swim board to a boat transom, while simplifying removal of the swim board from the boat when desired. The first piece is a wall portion that bolts directly to the boat transom with through-bolts. This wall portion includes a transom plate for attachment to the transom, and a longitudinal shaft or post, which is slightly spaced from the transom plate by a narrow shim, and is secured there with its longitudinal axis parallel to the plane of the transom plate, so that the post is oriented generally vertically when the transom plate is bolted to the transom. The second piece of the platform bracket is a separate shelf portion, which screws directly to the swim board itself.

  • Patent number: 4762081
Abstract: An improved platform bracket utilizes a two-piece construction that provides secure attachment of a swim board to a boat transom, while permitting quick and easy removal of the swim board from the boat when desired. One piece of the platform bracket is a wall portion that bolts directly to the boat transom with through-bolts. This wall portion includes a transom plate for attachment to the transom, and a hollow jacket or receiver member secured to the plate with the longitudinal axis of the receiver parallel to the plane of the transom plate, so that the receiver is oriented generally vertically when the transom plate is bolted to the transom. The other piece of the platform bracket is a separate shelf portion, which screws directly to the swim board itself.
