  • Publication number: 20240074859
Abstract: An annuloplasty implant is disclosed comprising first and second support members having a coiled configuration in which the first and second support members are arranged as a coil, with two free ends, around a central axis, wherein, in said coiled configuration, said two free ends are displaced from each other with a peripheral off-set distance extending in a coil plane, said coil plane being substantially parallel to an annular periphery of said coil and perpendicular to said central axis, wherein the first and second support members and the respective free ends are configured to be arranged on opposite sides of native heart valve leaflets of a heart valve. A method of implanting an annuloplasty implant at a target site in the heart is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4544178
Abstract: Two side frames support a seat assembly (25, 31 and 32) for a baby. Each side frame has first and second legs (1 and 2) pivotally connected at adjacent first ends (3 and 4) and a handle shaft (11). When the push chair is erected, with the second ends (5 and 6) of the legs (1 and 2) of each side frame spaced apart, the handle shaft (11) of each side frame is movable between first and second positions in which a handle bar (34) transversely interconnecting the handle shafts (11) is respectively behind the seat assembly (25, 31 and 32), for pushing the baby forwards, and in front of the seat assembly (25, 31 and 32), for pushing the baby backwards. The second leg (2) and the handle shaft (11) of each side frame are also connected by drive means (16 and 17) so that further movement of the handle shaft (11) from its second position to a third position laterally adjacent the first leg (1) is accompanied by corresponding movement of the second leg (2) towards a position laterally adjacent the first leg (1).

  • Patent number: 4515333
Abstract: An adjustable support for an optical or other instrument (e.g. a binocular microscope for use by a surgeon in neurosurgery) which readily permits adjustment in the position of the instrument in a predetermined spatial envelope and/or adjustment of the orientation of the instrument at any given position within that envelope, and which is compact, relatively inexpensive to manufacture, easy to adjust, and incorporates a high degree of safety, comprises a rod-like carrier, supporting the instrument at one end and an adjustable counterweight at the other, mounted, by a ball joint arrangement on a linkage system rotatably supported on a column. The ball joint arrangement and the other joint arrangements in the linkage system are provided with clamping devices, normally urged to clamping position by springs but released by the application of air pressure under control of a switch device.

  • Patent number: 4042135
Abstract: A load handling vehicle having a chassis with an engine, wheel, and a control cab, a hydraulically extensible and pivotable telescopic boom pivoted to supports mounted on the rear of the chassis, and a load handling carriage mounted on the free end of the boom. The vehicle is provided with strain gauges mounted in connection with one axle of the chassis, and the gauges are electrically connected via a time delay circuit to an alarm, and valves for controlling the hydraulic operation of the boom, in order to signal impending instability, and to prevent dangerous instability from occurring.

  • Patent number: 4034875
Abstract: A load handling vehicle is described, having a chassis provided with wheels, an engine, and a control cab, and a telescopically extensible boom mounted pivotally on supports extending up from the rear of the chassis and a load handling carriage on the free end of the boom. The boom and carriage are hydraulically operated. Hydraulic lines to rams for extending the boom and for operating the lifting carriage are provided by a set of flexible pipes rigidly secured to the trailing end of an outermost section of the boom, and a roller is mounted on the trailing end of an intermediate section of the boom. A shrouded probe supporting the pipes within the boom extends from the innermost boom section into the other sections of the boom, locating the pipes around the roller.

  • Patent number: 3946668
Abstract: In a standard screen printing machine a linkage assembly is provided for connecting the screen support and the printing bed support in such a manner that the screen support is movable into and out of an operative position. The link arrangement is selectively connected to the screen support to provide, in the alternative, movement according to a parallel linkage arrangement or tilting movement about an axis of the linkage assembly.
