  • Patent number: 10164418
Abstract: Mounting devices for an elongate flexible member, such as an electrical cable passing through the wall of a structure, are described. The mounting devices may include an elongate body having a longitudinal axis and elongate recesses that are inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis. An internal passageway for the elongate flexible member may pass through the elongate body parallel to the longitudinal axis, and apertures corresponding to the recesses may be disposed in the outer peripheral face of the elongate body. An engagement member, such as a ball, may be mounted in each recess and move along the recess. The engagement members, recesses and the apertures may be dimensioned to allow the engagement members to project partially beyond the outer peripheral face of the elongate body but to prevent the engagement members from leaving the recesses through the apertures in the outer peripheral face of the elongate body.

  • Patent number: 4924611
Abstract: A frame comprising upper, lower, and side bars outlines a space to display a license plate. At least one of the bars, preferably the lower, has a depressed track in which a number of message elements or strip is carried which bear message indicia on its front surface. The track has upper and lower lips depending from and extending up from respectively the upper and lower margins of the track. A resilient, transparent cover slipped between the lips holds the message elements in place against the track back and with the indicia exposed to view. The lips may be frangmented into one or more sections, and only one lip may serve. The number of message elements may be reduced to a single, integral strip.

  • Patent number: 4059090
Abstract: A fireplace heating unit is disclosed which will efficiently heat the interior of a structure. The unit includes a firebox surrounded by a housing. The housing is vented to the outside at the rear thereof and to the interior of the structure at the front thereof, over the firebox. Exterior air is drawn into the housing through the rear vent and circulated around the firebox and through conduits extending through the chimney flue whereby it is quickly heated. The heated air is then exhausted into the room through the front vent. A portion of the front of the housing may mount a movable glass door having a controlled air inlet therein to control combustion of fuel in the firebox. The door also provides access to the firebox and may be opened to permit use of the firebox as a conventional fireplace, if desired. In one embodiment a zero clearance unit is provided, having a novel bypass to divert at least a portion of the flow of heated air from the interior of the housing into the flue.
