The first conveyor and the first robot include respective supports that are separate from each other. The computer transmits the alignment plan for execution so that the first conveyor is moved according to the alignment plan.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provides an approach for repairing defects in a structure, located in difficult to reach area, by using a self-guiding and self-melting robotic thread. The approach can use an external guidance system to find the target location of the structure and deploy a robotic thread to the defective area. Portion of the robotic thread contains a filler material can have similar materials to the structure. After the system has determined the size, length and volume of the repair, the system calculates the required length of the robotic thread and guides the thread to the defective area. Once the robotic thread is in place, the filler material begins to melt via heat. The filler material, in a melted and pliable state, can flow into the defect area. Once cooled, the filler material can now support the structure.

Digital twins for a structure and each occupant thereof are created through machine learning techniques. Environmental measurements representative of environmental conditions within a structure are collected. The structural digital twin predicts potential environmental conditions adverse to occupants within the structure. Evacuation routes for the occupants are determined and atmosphere pressures within the evacuation routes are modulated, thereby reducing the severity of the adverse environmental conditions within the evacuation routes to facilitate the evacuation of the occupants from the structure.

Confidentiality levels of source data and of processed data at different points of an existing trajectory path in an application landscape are identified by analyzing source metadata of the source data and processed metadata of the processed data. One or more trajectory paths that meet security levels that correspond to the confidentiality levels are identified by analyzing microservice generated logs and an application landscape description with reference to the confidentiality levels of the source data and the processed data. A trajectory path is selected from the one or more trajectory paths. A workflow is generated to move the source data and the processed data through the selected trajectory path, and the workflow is executed to move the source data and the processed data through microservices of the selected trajectory path while enforcing the security levels.

Application logs for the applications are analyzed to identify how the application functionalities are executing. For a group of the groups, an effectiveness score is assigned to each of the different application functionalities in that group. For each application functionality, a corresponding recommendation is identified on how that application functionality is to be modified based on the effectiveness score for that application functionality compared to the effectiveness score of each of the other application functionalities in the group. In response to determining that the subset of edge devices includes that number of edge devices, the edge devices from the subset are added to the participating group. The job is executed using the edge devices in the participating group and the one or more cloud nodes, while maintaining the security level in processing the data and in communications across the edge devices and the one or more cloud nodes.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for augmented reality (AR) interfaces with voice activated devices for providing intelligent virtual assistant functions, sometimes referred to as smart speakers. A smart speaker is paired to an AR device. Volume threshold indicators are displayed on an AR display of the AR device, which can be interacted with through gesture based input to control volume thresholds for the smart speaker to detect and recognize voice commands. When the smart speaker receives wakeup commands, the AR device displays interface elements corresponding to time remaining to provide a voice command to the intelligent virtual assistant through the smart speaker. The time remaining to provide a voice command can be modified by gesture based inputs detected by the AR device.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for modifying Augmented Reality (AR) device user interfaces to improve accessibility for individuals with tremors in their hands and/or fingers. A historical data set of finger movements is generated using circuitry printed onto fingernails of an individual. The historical data set is used to determine patterns for tremors in the fingers and hands of the individual. These patterns are then used to modify interactive elements of a user interface displayed by an AR device operated by the individual according to their individual pattern. Modifications to the interactive elements include modifying depth of the interactive elements to prevent unintended activation of the interactive elements through gesture-based controls resulting from the tremors.
