  • Patent number: 11871952
Abstract: Systems and methods discussed herein relate to surgical systems including tissue resecting devices where the handset has a disposable portion detachably coupled to a reusable portion. The reusable portion may be a housing where a motor and electronics are stored that may be used to drive a shaft inserted into the disposable portion. The shaft may be coupled to a fluid pathway through the disposable portion that is fluidly isolated from the reusable section. After use, the disposable section is detached from the reusable section and disposed, and the reusable section may be cleaned and sterilized, or may be cleaned only.

  • Publication number: 20220395356
Abstract: A dental bracket can be used to generate a force profile corresponding to a target tooth movement (e.g., for moving and aligning the teeth of an orthodontic patient). The dental bracket includes a base and a cover. The base is configured to be attached to an anterior surface of a tooth, and the cover is removably attached to the base. The cover includes a slot configured to receive a wire. In some implementations, at least one of the size, shape, or orientation of the slot corresponds to a force profile corresponding to a target tooth movement. Example target tooth movements include a mesial root movement, a distal root movement, a mesial crown movement, a distal crown movement, an intrusion movement, an extrusion movement, a mesial crown rotation, a distal crown rotation, a buccal root movement, or a lingual root movement.

  • Patent number: 7672816
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and process which is a computer aided application using artificial intelligence modeling. This artificial intelligence model is able to predict the propensity for sheet metal parts to wrinkle when manufactured using a hydro forming process. The model uses geometric and material parameters to predict defects and facilitates defect predictions certainty into the ordinarily arduous redesign process directed at eliminating defects.

  • Patent number: 7130714
Abstract: A method of determining springback in metal forming with a fluid cell press through establishing a computational formulation to determine bend angle and compensated die radius based on factors of geometry of the part being formed, material properties of the sheet material and the forming process, and computing additional iterations of springback until a specific tolerance between the formed part angle and the desired part angle are reached.
