  • Publication number: 20220013006
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to determine driver scoring that consider road accident proneness scores in driver score computations. The road accident proneness scores may be based on one or more alerts. Further, road types of roads may be determined based on alerts. The determination of the road type may use a machine learning model. In contrast to the conventional approaches, the use of road accident proneness scores in the computation of driver scores allows for the consideration of accident proneness of the road to improve upon conventional scoring techniques. Further, map data and generated maps may be improved based on determined road types.

  • Publication number: 20220003556
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to determine driver scoring that consider road quality and/or conditions in driver score computations. In contrast to the conventional approaches, the use of road conditions and/or road quality in the computation of driver scores allows for the consideration of road conditions and/or quality to improve upon conventional scoring techniques.

  • Publication number: 20210058416
Abstract: In an example, there is disclosed an apparatus, including: a network interface to communicatively couple to an internet of thing (IoT) having at least one edge device; a gateway engine to provide gateway services to one or more edge devices via the network interface; and one or more logic devices, including at least one hardware logic device, providing an adaptive security engine to: compile a periodic device interaction summary (DIS) for the edge device; send the DIS to a cloud service; receive from the cloud service a DIS signature for the edge device; determine that one or more interactions from the edge device are suspicious; and act on the determining.

  • Patent number: 7885994
Abstract: A computing system in which a user of a client system can continue with submission of an additional request while an application framework processes prior requests. In an embodiment, when a request is received, the resource requirements for processing the request are determined. If the resource requirements exceed a threshold, the request may be processed in the background. The user can continue issuing additional requests. After completion of processing of a request, the availability of the results may be notified in a pre-specified portion of a window from which the user is interacting with the application framework. The user may conveniently request the results by clicking on a portion of the displayed message.
