Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus for genital and anal pre-cancer treatment and the treatment of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia are disclosed. One aspect includes an applicator for topically applying a therapeutic agent. The applicator includes a container to store the therapeutic agent. The applicator further includes an actuator configured to release the therapeutic agent from the container. The applicator further includes a tip configured to absorb the therapeutic agent released from the container, the tip further configured to release the therapeutic agent to a treatment area in response to contact between the tip and the treatment area. Another aspect includes an applicator for applying a film containing therapeutic material.

The inner and outer balloon layers form a sealed cavity configured to hold a liquid. The speculum further includes an access tube for injecting the liquid into the cavity. The speculum further includes a shape memory alloy layer within the outer balloon layer. The shape memory alloy layer is configured to transition to a first shape when heated above a transition temperature.

Abstract: Physiologically acceptable films for use in the treatment cervical intraepithelial neoplasia are disclosed. The films include a water soluble film-forming polymer such as pullulan, and therapeutically effective amounts of chemexfoliation agents. Devices adapted to introduce these films to the cervix are disclosed, as well as various combinations of devices and films sufficient to comprise a kit to enable treatment of CIN 1, 2, and 3.
