  • Patent number: 8735591
Abstract: An organic amine dimmer and a method for synthesizing the same are disclosed. The method comprises the following steps: (A) mixing an iron-containing compound (e.g., Fe2O3, FeCl3), a nitrate-containing compound, oxalate acid, 4,4?-trimethylenedipiperidine (TMDP), H3PO4, and 2 to 8 ml of water to form a mixture; (B) heating the mixture and maintaining the mixture at 160° C. or above for a first predetermined time; (C) cooling the mixture; and (D) placing the mixture at room temperature for a second predetermined time, to obtain an organic amine dimmer, wherein Fe(NO3)3 can serve as the iron-containing compound as well as the nitrate-containing compound.

  • Patent number: 8303845
Abstract: The present invention discloses a porous phosphor and manufacturing method of the same. The method includes manufacturing an organic-inorganic hybrid porous structure from solution comprising deep eutectic solvent, the 13th group metal source, phosphorous acid source, and counter species source. With 4,4?-trimethylenedipyridine, the structure can be used as an intrinsic phosphor owning properties of photoluminescence without doping additional activator. The present invention also discloses a lighting device coated with the porous phosphor.

  • Publication number: 20120035365
Abstract: A method for manufacturing porous material from waste PET bottle, the method comprising: providing transition metal or d10 metal source, amine source, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) source, phosphate derivative source, and water to be reacted in a closed container under temperature between 120 to 200° C., and pressure between 1 to 100 atm for between 48 to 168 hours, for forming a reaction mixture; and precipitating the porous material from the reaction mixture. The method of the present invention uses the PET bottle polymers adequately to release two monomers in the reaction effectively and form porous or laminar material, such that the porous material can have photoluminescent phenomenon and can have light performance from white light to yellow-orange light under various excitation sources.

  • Patent number: 7625504
Abstract: The present invention is related to a phosphor that can be excited by UV light between 375 to 400 nm to emit white light, which is intrinsically produced by emitting blue light with yellow light simultaneously. This compound is synthesized from organic amine, metal oxide and phosphate under hydrothermal conditions, and gives rise to a zeolitic structure with the chemical formula of (A)5-x/2[Zn9-xGaxO(HPO4)(PO4)8].yH2O (0<x<9, 0<y<15). On the other hand, when synthesized by different solvents, it is possible to obtain a phosphor of the same chemical formula and structure, but it can emit yellow light when excited by UV light or blue light emitted by LED between 300 to 500 nm.

This compound is synthesized from organic amine, metal oxide and phosphate under hydrothermal conditions, and gives rise to a zeolitic structure with the chemical formula of (A)5?x/2[Zn9?xGaxO(HPO4)(PO4)8]·yH2O(0<x<9, 0<y <15). On the other hand, when synthesized by different solvents, it is possible to obtain a phosphor of the same chemical formula and structure, but it can emit yellow light when excited by UV light or blue light emitted by LED between 300 to 500 nm.
