  • Publication number: 20130335949
Abstract: A lighting device has a bottle, a bottle cap and at least one water-activated battery The bottle cap is mounted on the bottle and includes a light module having a printed circuit board (PCB) and a light source. The light source is mounted to a top surface of the PCB. The at least one water-activated battery is mounted between the bottle cap and the bottle and includes a top end and a bottom end. The top end is connected to the PCB via contacts. The bottom end is disposed in the bottle. In use, the bottle is filled with water to make the water-activated battery soaked in the water. The constituents of the water-activated battery then chemically react to generate electricity to supply power to the light source. Therefore, the bottle can be reused.

  • Publication number: 20120168303
Abstract: A salt water activated emergency lighting device has a body, an anode electrode, a cathode electrode, a water supply module, a draining module and a light board. The body has a first compartment and a second compartment with a through hole therebetween. The anode electrode is mounted in the second compartment. The cathode electrode is mounted through a periphery of the second compartment. When the mains power is down, the water supply module unblocks the through hole, and salt water in the first compartment enters the second compartment. Salt water further reacts with the anode electrode and the cathode electrode in generation of power supplied to the light board for emergency lighting. When the mains power comes back, the through hole is blocked, and the draining module pumps the salt water in the second compartment back to the first compartment. Such cycling fulfills environmental protection without consuming electrode plates unnecessarily.

  • Publication number: 20110059354
Abstract: A pressurized low voltage battery has a lower receptacle, two conductive rods, an upper receptacle and a stopper. The lower receptacle is mainly filled with active carbon powder surrounding by a piece of absorbent paper. The two conductive rods as opposite electrodes of the battery extend into the lower receptacle. The upper receptacle engages the lower receptacle and is partitioned into an air room and a water room for storing water. When the stopper is repeatedly pushed into the air room, water in the upper receptacle is able to be spread quickly to the active carbon powder in the lower receptacle via the absorbent paper to cause a chemical reaction. Therefore, the battery generates electricity soon.

  • Publication number: 20100289168
Abstract: A manufacturing method for a flexible air-cathode plate has steps of: mixing carbon powder and polytetrafluoroethylene solution to obtain a mixture; dehydrating the mixture by centrifuge to remove excess water; pressing the mixture to form a plate having a thickness of about 0.2 to 0.3 mm; cutting the plate into at least two plates; and mounting a collector grid between two plates of at least two plates and hot pressing them to obtain the flexible air-cathode plate. Since the flexible air-cathode plate can be curved, the flexible air-cathode plate can be used for a water battery.

  • Publication number: 20100285350
Abstract: An electrolytic cell has an insulating body, at least one metal plate, at least one carbon plate, an anode terminal connected electrically to one of at least one carbon plate and a cathode terminal connected electrically to one of at least one metal plate. The insulating body has a base and a cover. The base has two sidewalls, an opening, at least one chamber and at least one through hole. The at least one chamber is formed in the base. The at least one through hole is formed through one or all of the sidewalls. The at least one metal plate is mounted in the cover. The at least one carbon plate respectively covers the at least one through hole. Due to the carbon plate allows the air go through the carbon plate, the air can be as a depolarizer.

  • Publication number: 20100047680
Abstract: A portable water-activated power supply has an insulating body, at least one carbon rod, a metal, a base and a cover. The insulating body has at least one side slot containing water, a middle slot containing water and communicating with the at least one side slot, at least one anode terminal extending to the at least one side slot and a cathode terminal extending to the middle slot. The at least one carbon rod is correspondingly mounted in the at least one side slot and connected to the at least one anode terminal. The metal is mounted in the middle slot and connected to the cathode terminal. The base is mounted on a bottom surface of the insulating body. The cover is mounted on a top surface of the insulating body and has watering holes respectively corresponding to the slots. The water-activated power supply is recyclable and pollution-free.

  • Publication number: 20090068558
Abstract: A recyclable battery includes a metal tube, a contact bar having a head formed on a distal end of the contact bar and extending out of the metal tube and a pole extending out of the head, a plug to block the first opening and having a channel defined through the plug to correspond to and allow the pole to extend therethrough with the head remaining on top of the plug, a sponge to sandwich active carbon with the plug and a cap securely received in the metal tube to block the second opening and having a hole defined through the cap to communicate with an interior of the metal tube and ambient air. Water is able to flow into the metal tube for absorption by the sponge such that the active carbon in close contact with the sponge is able to be reactivated by the water.
