Abstract: In accordance with an example embodiment a method, apparatus and computer program product are provided. The method comprises receiving a request for synchronization of a subtitle text data with multimedia content. The method also comprises accessing summarization data associated with at least a portion of the multimedia content. The summarization data comprises text data generated from at least the portion of the multimedia content. The text data is compared with at least a portion of the subtitle text data for determining presence of the text data in the subtitle text data. The subtitle text data is synchronized with the multimedia content based on the determination of the presence of the text data in at least the portion of the subtitle text data.

Abstract: In accordance with an example embodiment a method and apparatus is provided. The method comprises receiving a request for providing a first granularity level highlights associated with a media content. Presence of at least one of second granularity level highlights and third granularity level highlights associated with the media content is determined. The second granularity level highlights are finer than the first granularity level highlights and the third granularity level highlights are coarse than the first granularity level highlights. The first granularity level highlights are generated based on the determination of the presence of one of the second granularity level highlights and the third granularity level highlights.

Abstract: In accordance with an example embodiment a method and apparatus is provided. The method comprises facilitating receiving of a preference information associated with a media content comprising a set of frames. A score is assigned to at least one frame of the set of frames by at least one filter. The score is assigned based on the preference information and a weight associated with the at least one filter. A rank is determined for the at least one frame based on the score.
