The method and apparatus particularly relate to raising or shearing textile by bringing it into contact with an abrasive surface by a flowing liquid. By such a technique, raising or shearing can be more uniform; dyeing or finishing can be combined simultaneously with raising or shearing and higher productivity can be achieved.
