  • Patent number: 7334986
Abstract: A centrifugal fan, in which an expansion angle of a radius of curvature of the outer periphery of a scroll housing from a position angle of a cutoff portion, serving as a suction portion, to a designated portion from the former in the direction of air flow is gradually decreased; and an expansion angle of the radius of curvature of the outer periphery of the scroll housing from the above designated portion to a discharge portion is gradually increased, thereby easily converting the velocity of the discharged fluid to pressure due to the increased dimensions of the discharge region and increasing the flow rate. Further, since noise generated from a cutoff portion of the centrifugal fan of the present invention maintains the same level as that of the conventional centrifugal fan, the centrifugal fan of the present invention has reduced noise at the same flow rate.

  • Patent number: 6883233
Abstract: A fan guide including a guide body, a central frame positioned at a central portion of the guide body and having an outer circumferential region, a plurality of motor fixtures formed at the outer circumferential region of the central frame for fixing a motor coupled with a fan, and at least three straight connecting frames for connecting the guide body and the central frame to each other, wherein one of intersection points among imaginary lines extending the three straight connecting frames is inside the outer circumferential region and the other intersection points among imaginary lines extending the three straight connecting frames are outside the outer circumferential region. By this arrangement, it is possible to decrease the degree of noise resulting from a blade passing frequency while destroying the regularity of a vortex shedding formed at each frame to reduce the interaction between a vortex flow and fan blades, thereby achieving a reduction in noise and flow loss.

  • Patent number: 6643953
Abstract: A clothes dryer in accordance with the present invention includes a drum rotatably supported in a case having an interior space for drying clothes. Air for drying clothes is supplied to the suction duct that is connected to one side of the drum. An extension duct extending from the suction duct into the drum supplies the air from the suction duct into the drum. An exhaust duct is connected to the other side of the drum for exhausting the air that is used to dry clothes to the outside of the case. The clothes dryer uniformly dries clothes inputted into the drum as the dryer directly transmits heated air to the center portion of the drum, thereby improving clothes drying efficiency.
