Abstract: The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for prevention or treatment of a stress disease and depression, the pharmaceutical composition be safely useable without toxicity and side effects by using an extract of leaves of Vaccinium bracteatum Thunb., which is natural resource of Korea, so that the reduction of manufacturing and production costs and the import substitution and export effects can be expected through the replacement of a raw material for preparation with a plant inhabiting in nature.

Abstract: A mobile telecommunication system and a method of preventing forward telecommunication distortion in soft handoff improve the quality of telephonic communications in a CDMA telecommunication system. Accordingly, the mobile telecommunication system includes the steps of having an arbitrary base station verify a data transmitted from a base station controller, having the base station judge whether ADD handoff of a mobile station in progress or not if the data is not verified, and having the base station transmit a null data including no information instead of the data to the mobile station provided that the ADD handoff of the mobile station is not in progress.

Abstract: An improved method for effectively transmitting a PSMM in a communication system is provided. According to the present invention, a mobile station decides whether s message generated in itself is a PSMM. If the message is the PSMM, the mobile station decides whether the PSMM is the most recent PSMM. If the PSMM is not the most recent PSMM, the mobile station waits until the most recent PSMM is generated. If the PSMM is the most recent PSMM, the mobile station transmits only the most recent PSMM to the base station in order to gain an acknowledgment from the base station.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method for controlling a handoff in a communication system. The pilot strength of a base station and the frame quality of a forward link are measured by a mobile station. The mobile station checks whether the measured pilot strength is higher than a parameter (T-ADD) that is a threshold value for the pilot strength of the base station to which a new communication path is supposed to be added. Furthermore, it is checked whether or not the measured frame quality of the forward link is good as compared with a preset parameter (T_QUALITY). It is also checked whether or not the measured pilot strength is higher than the T_PRANKth strength of the pilots of the currently active base stations. The mobile station sends a pilot strength measurement message (PSMM) to a handoff control system in order to establish a new communication path through the base station according to the above checking results.

Abstract: Provided with a method of performing power control in a CDMA mobile communication system, characterized by including the steps of: repeatedly updating information concerning the change of a channel state between a mobile station and a base station at regular intervals; varying a channel gain up/down time and/or a channel gain up/down delta adaptively based on the updated information; and adjusting the channel gain between the mobile station and the base station.
