  • Patent number: 8274916
Abstract: A terminal location measuring device includes a database for storing registration information of a plurality of access points (AP's) forming a first infrastructure system for wireless LAN-based indoor location determination. The terminal location measuring device sets a search range of a database by using location information of the terminal acquired through a second infrastructure system that is different from the first infrastructure system, an identifier of at least one of a plurality of AP's, and a signal measurement value. The terminal location measuring device extracts registration information of an AP having the same identifier as at least one AP within the search range of the database, and measures a location of the terminal by using registration information of the AP.

  • Publication number: 20100166047
Abstract: Provided are a method for detecting a received signal and an apparatus for detecting a satellite navigation received signal using the same. The present invention provides cells where a correlation value obtained through parallel signal detection is a predetermined signal detection threshold value or more are selected and time domain correlation is performed on the cells so that the correlation value is verified. The cells having the predetermined verified threshold value or more are detected as a final received signal.

  • Publication number: 20100150061
Abstract: Provided are an access point arrangement device and a method for wireless location determination. An access point is arranged on a numerical map, received signal strength of a signal received from the access point for each grid point is calculated, and DOP and position error per grid point are calculated by using the received signal strength per grid point. It is determined whether to rearrange the currently arranged access point based on a ratio of a grid point with DOP less than a threshold value for entire grid points on the numerical map and a ratio of a grid point with a position error that is less than a threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20100106745
Abstract: Provided is a fingerprint database generating method and device for wireless location. Signal strength is estimated by using access points on a numerical map, position coordinates of grid points, and a radio wave attenuation model so as to generate a fingerprint database. A simulation error is computed based on actual survey data measured in the real space, and the estimated signal strength is corrected by using the computed simulation error to thus generate a fingerprint database.
