    Abstract: An arrangement for mounting a micro connector to a PCB is disclosed. The arrangement comprises a pair of fixing blocks formed on the connector, each defining a U-shaped groove recessed on a surface of the fixing block. The arrangement also comprises a pair of fixing pieces, each including an elongated main plate closely abutting an inner surface of the groove and a pair of leg plates extending outward from the main plate for mounting onto the PCB. The arrangement further comprises a plurality of retention slots on both side of the grooves and the fixing pieces further comprises a plurality of retention tabs extending from both lateral edges of the fixing blocks. The retention tabs are inserted in the retention slots and firmly retain on inner walls of the retention slots. A fixing piece used in the above-mentioned arrangement is also addressed.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing (10) comprising a support frame and a mating body wherein the front side of the supporting frame (11) and an end of the mating body commonly form a mating face (14). A plurality of contacts (20) are disposed in the mating body wherein one end (22) of the contact (20) is connected to the PC board on which the connector is mounted. A shield (30) is attached to the mating face (14) for preventing electromagnetic interference. A boardlock (40) includes a supporting portion (41) and a leg portion (43) wherein the leg portion (43) is mounted to the PC board and the supporting portion (41) is disposed in the housing (10) whereby the supporting portion (41) can be electrically interconnected with the shield (30).

    Abstract: A short-body miniature DIN connector consists of a dielectric body defining an inverted T-shaped locking slot, a horizontal and vertical ridge on a right and left face. A number of contacts each has a first fitting portion having an interference fit with the body defining a corresponding contact passage extending through the body, and a second fitting portion having an interference fit with the body defining a corresponding locating groove located at a bottom of a rear face of the body. A shielding shell covers the body and has an upper wall defining an inverted-T shaped locking tab bent into the locking slot to have an interference fit with the body and two flaps extending downwards from two sides thereof. The shielding shell further has a right and left wall each defining a vertical and horizontal projection engaging the horizontal and vertical ridges, and an upper fin engaging with a corresponding flap, whereby a rebound of the right and left walls to move away from the dielectric body can be prevented.

    Abstract: An adapter (10) includes a pair of male/female connectors (12, 14) solderably positioned on two ends of a PC board (16). A pair of identical metal shells (20) are adapted to be engaged with each other with their grounding tangs (38) extending at two ends thereof, respectively, for conductive engagement with the metal shieldings (60, 80) of such pair of connectors (12, 14). The metal shells (20) also defines a space for protectively enclosing the PC board (16) therein. A pair of identical plastic covers (40) are fixedly aligned and attached to each other commonly enclosing such pair of metal shells (20) therein. The metal shells (20) are restrained between the pair of connectors (12, 14), and fixedly aligned with the corresponding covers (40), respectively. The connectors (12, 14) are aligned with and confinably received within the covers (40). Two interconnection ports of such pair of connectors (12, 14) are respectively exposed to the exterior at opposite ends of the adapters (10).
