  • Patent number: 6309754
Abstract: A fuser member having a layer which includes: an addition crosslinked polyorganosiloxane elastomer, and copper oxide particles dispersed therein in a concentration of from 5 to 40 percent of the total volume of the layer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 2, 1996
Date of Patent: October 30, 2001
    Assignee: Nexpress Solutions LLC
Inventors: Susan Ann Visser, Charles E. Hewitt
  • Patent number: 5753361
Abstract: A fuser member having a core and a layer overlying the core. The layer includes: an addition crosslinked polyorganosiloxane elastomer, and chromium oxide particles dispersed therein in a concentration of from about 5 to about 50 percent of the total volume of the layer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 3, 1996
Date of Patent: May 19, 1998
    Assignee: Eastman Kodak Company
    Inventor: Susan Ann Visser
  • Patent number: 5679463
Abstract: There is described a fuser member having a layer comprising a condensation-cured poly(dimethyl siloxane) elastomer filled with a mixture of tin oxide and zinc oxide whereinthe layer contains from about 5 to about 40 volume percent of said mixture and wherein the proportion of tin oxide to zinc oxide in said mixture is between about 25:1 and 1:25 by volume. The fuser member exhibits a good combination of properties such as improved creep resistance, decreased weight loss, improved hardness stability, or improved thermal conductivity compared with members using other filler materials, for example, tin oxide alone or zinc oxide alone.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 10, 1996
Date of Patent: October 21, 1997
    Assignee: Eastman Kodak Company
Inventors: Susan Ann Visser, William Bernard Vreeland, Charles Eugene Hewitt
  • Patent number: 5674621
Abstract: The present invention provides a fuser member having a substrate and an outermost layer of a fluorinated diamond like carbon wherein the fluorine content of the surface of said layer is between about 20 and 65 atomic percent based on the total amount of fluorine, carbon and oxygen in said surface. The fuser member is characterized in that the outermost layer provides for excellent release of the toner.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 29, 1996
Date of Patent: October 7, 1997
    Assignee: Eastman Kodak Company
Inventors: Susan Ann Visser, Suryadevara V. Babu, Cancheepuram V. Srividya
  • Patent number: 5654052
Abstract: A fuser member having as its outermost layer, a composite material comprising:a) a crosslinked, oxide filled, poly(dimethylsiloxane) which containsb) a non-crosslinked, non-reactive poly(dimethylsiloxane) oil having a viscosity of at least 25,000 CPS.
