Abstract: A method and system for presenting an enterprise change and configuration report are provided. In accordance with one embodiment of the present application, a method for presenting an enterprise change and configuration report includes identifying at least one datasource that stored change management information, collecting change management information from the datasource and integrating the change management information into a change management report that is accessible via a web browser. A plurality of datasources that include change management data may be identified and change management data from each datasource of the plurality of datasources may be collected and integrated to provide the change management report.

A first exemplary method is disclosed that includes receiving a request for software dependency information relating to a number of platforms. The method also includes identifying a set of applications, each application corresponding to a one of the set of platforms. The method further includes transmitting to each of the identified applications a platform-specific software dependency query. A response to each platform-specific software dependency query is received from each of the identified applications, and the are combined into a combined query result. The method still further includes transmitting the combined query result containing the software dependency information in response to the initial query. A first example method is disclosed for providing metadata information for display in a graphical format. The method includes the step of receiving from a web browser a request for information relating to a platform-specific application. The method also includes transmitting to the platform-specific application, a request for metadata representing the requested information, and receiving metadata from the platform-specific application. The method further includes combining the metadata with viewing instructions for creating a graphical representation of the metadata, and transmitting the combined metadata and viewing instructions to the user for presentation. A first exemplary method is disclosed that includes transmitting to a CCM server, a request for enterprise-wide CCM information. The method also includes receiving from the CCM server, CCM viewing instructions and CCM data, based on a CCM application and a CCM database. The method further includes transmitting to a remote server, at least one request for platform-specific CCM information. Each request for platform-specific CCM information corresponds to a platform. The method further includes receiving a set of platform-specific CCM information corresponding to each request. Each set of platform-specific CCM information is based on a CCM application and a CCM database associated with the platform. The method still further includes displaying the CCM information and each set of platform-specific CCM information in an integrated display.
