  • Patent number: 5936008
Abstract: An ink for ink jet printing includes a liquid vehicle comprising water and toner particles with a colorant dispersed in or associated with the toner particles. The ink composition combines the print quality advantages of xerographic printing with the economic advantages of ink jet printing, thereby providing waterfast, archival quality prints.

  • Patent number: 5164276
Abstract: Photoreceptors, charge generation layers and charge transport layers, in which the charge generation layer or charge transport layer includes a dopant of organic molecules containing basic electron donor or proton acceptor groups, and processes for the formation thereof. Preferred dopants include aliphatic and aromatic amines, more preferably, triethanolamine, n-dodecylamine, n-hexadecylamine, tetramethyl guanidine, 3-aminopropyltriethoxy silane, 3-aminopropyltrihydroxysilane and its oligomers.

  • Patent number: 5069993
Abstract: An exposed layer in an electrophotographic imaging member is provided with increased resistance to stress cracking and reduced coefficient of surface friction, without adverse effects on optical clarity and electrical performance. The layer contains a polydimethylsiloxane copolymer and an inactive film forming resin binder.

  • Patent number: 5066557
Abstract: A charge generating layer for an electrophotographic imaging member is provided containing trigonal selenium and phthalocyanine photoconductive particles dispersed in a film forming polymer binder. The film forming polymer binder may be a styrene butadiene copolymer having a weight percent styrene to butadiene content of about 85:15 to about 95:5 and a glass transition temperature range of about 50.degree. C. to about 60.degree. C. A process for producing the homogeneous dispersion of photoconductive particles includes separately milling the trigonal selenium particles and the phthalocyanine particles to approprite particle sizes, and dispersing the separately milled particles in the film forming polymer binder.

  • Patent number: 5034295
Abstract: A flexible electrophotographic imaging member including a supporting substrate, a charge generation layer and a charge transport layer, the charge generation layer containing a homogeneous dispersion of photoconductive particles of trigonal selenium dispersed in a film forming polymer blend of polycarbonate, polyvinylchloride-polyvinylacetate copolymer and a polymeer selected from the group consisting of phenoxy resin, styrene butadiene copolymer and mixtures thereof. This imaging member may be employed in an electrophotographic imaging process.
