  • Publication number: 20100095336
Abstract: A method of creating a DVB-H signal having a desired bit rate includes the steps of preparing a TS signal of DVB-H Standard in conformity to a first bit rate (71), storing a burst period (T) of the TS signal and a second bit rate higher than the first bit rate, determining the number (a) of NULL packets to be increased in the burst period (T) (73), storing the TS signal including the number (n) of packets in the burst period in units of packets (74), storing the number (a) of NULL packets next to the stored TS packets (76, 77), and repeating the step (74) and the step (76, 77) until the complete TS signal is stored (75). An apparatus comprises means for executing the steps.

  • Patent number: 7577191
Abstract: An apparatus comprises input means, detection means and a selector, and automatically detects a kind of serial signal used in BER measurement. The input means receives at least two signals which include a data signal, and a clock signal having a period corresponding to one bit of the data signal. The detection means determines which one of the at least two signals is a clock signal or a data signal. The selector outputs the signal determined to be a clock signal from a clock signal terminal and outputs the signal determined to be a data signal from a data signal terminal.

  • Publication number: 20090116508
Abstract: A bit rate converting apparatus suitable for a DVB-H signal which does not have a function of rewriting a PCR value comprises means (42) for receiving a TS signal of a DVB-H standard for storage in accordance with a first bit rate, means (46) for sequentially generating NULL packets in accordance with a second bit rate, and means (45) for outputting a packet which forms part of the stored TS signal from the means (42) and the NULL packet from the means (46) in accordance with the second bit rate. The apparatus may further comprise means (51) for receiving the TS signal of the DVB-H standard to remove NULL packets from the TS signal. Alternatively, the apparatus may further comprise means (61) for receiving the TS signal of the DVB-H standard to pass only a packet representative of a program which constitutes the TS signal, and a PSI/SI packet.

  • Publication number: 20090034597
Abstract: A test signal generator 2 comprises a Pseudo Random Binary bit Sequence generator 20 for generating a Pseudo Random Binary bit Sequence in the form of burst while holding the continuity of the code, and intermittently operates in a burst form in response to operation control signals from circuits 22, 24. During one burst duration, a string of Pseudo Random Binary bit Sequence is generated in a certain sequence, where the first codes in the Pseudo Random Binary bit String generated in this burst duration follows the last code of a Pseudo Random Binary bit String generated in the preceding burst duration.

  • Publication number: 20050094673
Abstract: A digital broadcasting signal generator improved in usability incorporates a TS generator section which generates a color bar TS signal, a digital modulation section which modulates the color bar TS signal in accordance with one digital broadcasting system selected from a plurality of digital broadcasting systems, and an up-converter section which converts the frequency of the color bar TS signal. The plurality of digital broadcasting systems are an ISDN system, a DVB system and an ATSC system.

  • Publication number: 20050074052
Abstract: A signal generator is provided for adding noise to a signal to generate a noise-added signal. The signal generator comprises a PN coder in a noise generator which generates noise that is added to a signal. The noise generator uses a PN code from the PN coder to generate pseudo white noise at least in a predetermined band. A noise adder adds the noise from the noise generator to a signal from a signal source to generate the noise-added signal.
