  • Publication number: 20030114118
Abstract: An antenna system includes a substrate, a ground on the substrate, a first radiator having a helical shape near a side of the substrate and having a central axis substantially in parallel to a side of the ground, and a high frequency circuit electrically connected to a part of the first radiator. In the antenna system, ground-induced degradation of antenna gain can be reduced, and matching can be performed at an operating frequency through adjustment of a winding of the first radiator. Consequently, the radiation gain of the antenna system can be improved without an antenna matching circuit.

  • Patent number: 6388625
Abstract: An antenna device used in mobile communication apparatus such as cellular phones, and which achieves good transmission and reception of information in more than one frequency band. Easy and wide ranging adjustment of the impedance properties of the antenna as well as their productive mass production is allowed. The antenna device includes a) a spiral-shaped first antenna element (1) of which one end is open and the other end is electrically connected to a high frequency circuit inside a communication terminal; and b) a second antenna element (2) having both ends being open, and which is insulated from and disposed on either outer or inner surface of the first antenna element (1). The impedance properties of an antenna can be adjusted by changing the disposing position of the second antenna element (2).

  • Publication number: 20010017031
Abstract: An exhaust gas dilution apparatus 10-2 is the same form multi-venturi type comprising a rectifier 11, divider 12, exhaust chamber 14, dilution tunnel 15, and a divider pipes 13t on the dilution side of a tunnel 15 side. All divider pipes 13 are provided with a venturi 21 having the same performance inserted in the same position, to measure the flow rate in the dilution tunnel and the flow rate on the exhaust pipe side. The opening of the shutter 19 provided in the exit of the exhaust chamber 14 is controlled so that the two flow rates are equivalent.

  • Patent number: 6120290
Abstract: In a jaw movement simulator in which an upper jaw model patterned after an upper jaw and a lower jaw model patterned after a lower jaw are mounted, and the lower jaw model is relatively moved with respect to the upper jaw model. A jaw movement simulation system causes the jaw movement simulator to reproduce a movement of the jaw of a test subject in accordance with data obtained through imaging a movement of the jaw of the test subject. The lower jaw model is fixed on an operating plate having 6 degree of freedom by parallel mechanism, and is moved on the basis of data obtained through a movement of the jaw of the human body, thereby simulating a movement of the jaw with great accuracy.

  • Patent number: 5284120
Abstract: A fuel consumption measuring device is provided with a flow meter which is mounted on a fuel feeding passage extending from a fuel tank to an engine, wherein a return fuel which is not consumed by the engine is returned to a passage in the downstream of the flow meter through a return passage so as to measure a fuel consumption in the engine by the flow meter. The fuel feeding passage is provided with a pressure reducing valve for maintaining a confluence of the fuel feeding passage and the return passage at atmospheric pressure. Therefore, the fuel consumption measuring device has high measuring accuracy and high security, and is suitable for a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4337315
Abstract: A continuous fermentor or reactor and process using the reactor for producing ethanol including at least two vertically arranged unit reactors each having an open top cone which is connected to an inverted open bottom cone by a short cylinder greater in diameter than the two cones. The lowest unit reactor is connected to a gas supply member and a liquid introducing pipe and the highest unit reactor is connected to a gas separator and a mash discharge pipe. Inert gas introduced into the bottom unit produces both upward and downward flows in each unit.
