  • Publication number: 20100091692
Abstract: An access terminal receives, from a base station 10, an access terminal identifier (MAC-ID) assigned thereto to identify a self-terminal and information (Semi Connected Permit MAC-ID List) to permit a shift into a semi connected state where an access terminal 17 saves power while holding the access terminal identifier. When the access terminal 17 determines to be shifted into the semi connected state, the access terminal 17 transmits a request (Semi Connected Start Request) to the base station 10 to be shifted into the semi connected state based on the received information to permit the shift into the semi connected state and the access terminal identifier assigned to the self-terminal.

  • Publication number: 20100061480
Abstract: The present invention is summarized as a radio communication method including the steps of calculating a transmission power difference between a transmission power value of a first carrier and a transmission power value of a second carrier; determining whether or not the transmission power difference exceeds a threshold which indicates a maximum transmission power difference allowable between the first carrier and the second carrier; and decreasing a data rate for transmission via one of the first carrier and the second carrier that has the higher transmission power value when the transmission power difference exceeds the maximum transmission power difference.

  • Publication number: 20100016010
Abstract: A method includes the steps of calculating a transmission power difference between a first carrier and a second carrier, and determining whether or not the transmission power difference exceeds a threshold set up on the basis of a maximum transmission power difference allowable between the first carrier and the second carrier. When the transmission power difference exceeds the threshold set up on the basis of the maximum transmission power difference, the transmission power of the first carrier or the second carrier is controlled while maintaining the transmission power difference within the maximum transmission power difference and not complying with power control information corresponding to the first carrier or the second carrier.

  • Publication number: 20080205368
Abstract: A base station and a mobile unit and method for controlling them can retransmit a request for transition without any useless transmission. The base station receives from the mobile unit a request for transition of the mobile unit to a semi connected state in which the mobile unit comes into a power saving state, while holding a mobile unit identifier assigned for identifying the mobile unit by the base station, and the base station determines the state of the base station in response to the request. The base station transmits to the mobile unit a response to the request together with a reason for disallowance attached to the response when the request for transition is not allowable as a result of the determination of the state of the base station. The mobile unit controls the transmission of the request for transition according to the reason for disallowance.

  • Patent number: 7336179
Abstract: There is disclosed an information processing system having plural IC tags (e.g. RFID tags), each of which transmits back a signal in response to an interrogatory signal sent from a cell phone acting as an interrogator. The information processing system includes the RFID tags and the cell phone. The cell phone transmits an interrogatory signal to the tags to read information from the tags. Each tag receiving the interrogatory signal transmits positional information stored in the tag to the cell phone in response to the interrogatory signal. The cell phone transmits a specific interrogatory signal including at least one of the transmitted sets of positional information. Each tag receiving the specific interrogatory signal makes a decision as to whether the positional information contained in the specific interrogatory signal matches the positional information stored in the tag itself.

  • Publication number: 20070055494
Abstract: A communication device and method is provided which enables effective voice communications. An error detection unit (102) within a base station device (100) detects transmission line errors of an encoded voice frame data from a terminal (200). A voiced-or-unvoiced discrimination unit (104) determines whether or not the encoded voice frame data corresponds to the voiced section. If a transmission error is contained in the encoded voice frame data and the encoded voice frame data corresponds to the voiced section, a retransmission request discrimination unit (105) causes the terminal (200), within the 20 ms frame time corresponding to the encoded voice frame data, to return NAK as a retransmission request and retransmit the encoded voice frame data, using forward communication time slots in a retransmission 5-ms frame.

  • Publication number: 20050003796
Abstract: In a CDMA protocol wireless telecommunication system that allows mixed use of single carrier terminals and multiple carrier terminals, a wireless telecommunication system that can improve the utilization efficiency of the frequencies is realized. A wireless base station, single carrier terminals, multiple carrier terminals are provided, and the frequency channels are formed by a plurality of time slots, and the base station sets a preamble signal that indicates the terminal allocated to a time slot. At the same time, preamble signals for a plurality of frequency channels are transmitted nonsimultaneously. The single carrier terminal receives the preamble signals by switching the plurality of frequency channels transmitted from the wireless base station, and detects the received time slots based on the received preamble signal.
