  • Publication number: 20100168484
Abstract: [PROBLEMS] To provide a simpler method for producing a high-quality chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbon (e.g., cumylchloride), which can be used as a cationic polymerization initiator. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbon can be produced by repeating both (a) the step of performing chlorination reaction by stirring an organic solution containing a compound represented by Ar(R1C?CH2)n with an aqueous hydrochloric acid solution having a hydrochloric acid concentration of 30% by weight or higher and (b) the step of removing the water phase in part or whole from the reaction solution produced in the step (a), and then adding an aqueous hydrochloric acid solution having a hydrochloric acid concentration of 30% by weight or higher to the reaction solution, until the chlorination reaction rate of the compound reaches a predetermined level.

  • Publication number: 20080152909
Abstract: A process for spherical-polymer-powder production by which polymer particles which are nearly spherical, small in particle diameter, and suitable for use as a molding material can be easily obtained. The spherical polymer powder has excellent powder flowability, is safe, and can form, e.g., a high-quality molding, skin material, or coating film which is excellent in weather-ability, flexibility, rubber elasticity, low-temperature characteristics, adhesion to polar resins, texture, appearance, etc. The process for spherical-polymer-powder production is characterized by comprising a step in which an aqueous dispersion comprising a solvent solution of a polymer, water, and a dispersant is heated with stirring under such conditions that the power per unit volume of the dispersion, P/V, is 0.2 kW/m3 or more to remove the solvent from the aqueous dispersion.

  • Patent number: 6503995
Abstract: A method of producing a polyoxyalkylene polymer having at least one crosslinkable silyl group and at least one hydroxyl group in each molecule which comprises treating a polyoxyalkylene polymer having at least one unsaturated group and at least one alcoholic hydroxyl group in each molecule and an impurity double metal cyanide complex as mixed therein with a metal-coordinating compound and adding a compound having a hydrogen-silicon bond and a crosslinkable silyl group in each molecule and a hydrosilylation catalyst to thereby carry out the hydrosilylation reaction.

  • Patent number: 5204251
Abstract: A process of an enzymatic interesterification in a low water content condition, which comprises subjecting a reaction liquid containing (a) a fat or oil and (b) a member selected from the group consisting of (i) another fat or oil, (ii) a fatty acid ester with a lower alcohol and (iii) a fatty acid to the action of a lipase in the form of dried Rhizopus cells while maintaining the water concentration between 5 and 1000 ppm in the reaction liquid during the reaction. In accordance with the process of the present invention, an interesterification of fat or oil can be carried out efficiently in a high yield.

  • Patent number: 4935358
Abstract: A process of an interesterification reaction of fats, wherein a fatty acid moiety of a glyceride is substituted by other fatty acid moiety, and the reaction is accelerated by a catalyst and is continued constantly at a high rate for a long time. The process uses a dry cell for a catalyst. The dry cell is prepared from a lipase-containing microorganism by cultivating it to increase a lipase content and drying it to control water content.
