    Abstract: A roof system for a vehicle comprises a wind deflector member including a wind deflector body which extends in a transverse direction of the vehicle that is movable between a retracted position below a fixed roof and an extended position at least partly above the fixed roof. Wind deflector arms at the lateral ends of the wind deflector body extend substantially in a rearward direction and are at least rotatably connected to a stationary part. A sealing arrangement comprises a first seal is positioned between the wind deflector body and a panel that seals a gap between an the wind deflector body and the panel in its closed position. The first seal is configured to close a gap between the wind deflector arms and the panel. A second seal is closes a gap between the wind deflector member and the stationary part when the panel is in its closed position.

At least one display device is capable of showing images from its display screen to occupants in the vehicle. A drive system is provided for moving the display screen at least into a storage position and into an operational position in which the display screen is visible for occupants in an interior space of the vehicle. The display screen, in its storage position, is moved into a cavity above the headliner and is thus hidden from view and protected by the headliner.

    Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle comprises a frame and a panel capable of at least partly opening and closing an opening in a fixed roof. A drive motor in the vicinity of the rear edge of the opening and in the vicinity of a longitudinal center line of the opening comprises elongate drive members extending from its output shaft oppositely along the rear edge. An operating mechanism is movably connected between the frame near the rear edge and the rear edge of the panel. The operating mechanism includes two height-adjusting members on the frame, one on each lateral side of the drive motor and guided for a movement in lateral direction initiated by the drive members. Two height-adjustable members are immovably fixed to the panel and cooperate with the height-adjusting members which move along with the drive members so as to cause the height adjustment.

An operating beam on an opposite edge is movable parallel to the opening in correspondence with the amount of screen wound on or off the winding shaft. The screen has two longitudinal edges which, when the screen is wound off, are brought into engagement with holding members extending alongside the longitudinal edges of the roof opening. The holding members each comprise at least a groove having an elongated opening. An edge area near each edge of the screen is insertable into the respective groove together with a locking member clamping the screen in the groove. The locking member, the edge area of the screen and the groove having a shape and/or dimension preventing the locking member from unintentionally leaving the groove through the entrance opening.
