  • Patent number: 8561987
Abstract: The invention relates to a machine for processing sheets, having a deliverer for delivering the sheets which comprises a delivery drum that is acted on pneumatically. The delivery drum has vacuum applied to it. The delivery drum also has disks for carrying the sheets, each of the disks defining vacuum channels for holding the sheets. The vacuum channels have openings and a vacuum connection. The openings and the vacuum connection together form a rotary valve cyclically applying vacuum to the vacuum channels.

  • Patent number: 7823881
Abstract: A method of depositing sheets coming out of a sheet-processing machine includes decelerating the sheets and depositing the sheets of a main pile. Certain sheets are decelerated and fed to a second sheet pile. The system includes a device for decelerating the sheets arriving from the sheet-processing machine and for depositing the sheets on a main pile. A chain gripper system is configured to hold and decelerate a trailing edge of the sheets. The chain gripper system includes an adjustable gripper opening cam.

  • Patent number: 7726651
Abstract: An apparatus for ejecting sheets from a sheet transport path onto an auxiliary stack disposed upstream of a main stack, includes a planar sheet guide surface having a sheet ejection opening formed therein. The sheet ejection opening is closed by a sheet separating element and a flap, in a closed state. The separating element and the flap also serve as guide elements during the ejection of sheets.

  • Publication number: 20060244204
Abstract: A sheet brake for a press contains braking elements diverging in the sheet running direction in order to tauten the printing material sheets transversely. The braking elements are driven so as to circulate at a nonuniform speed. The nonuniform speed of the diverging braking elements results in more effective transverse tautening of the printing material sheets.

  • Publication number: 20060181007
Abstract: An apparatus for depositing sheets onto a stack permits improved alignment of the sheets on the stack. At least one conveying element provides for cyclical forward movement of the sheets into a position above the stack. At least one reciprocating aligning element is provided for stacked sheets. A device for controlling movements of the aligning element includes a computer. At least one linear actuator moves the aligning element and may be controlled by the computer.

  • Publication number: 20050242494
Abstract: An apparatus for conveying sheets through a printing machine allows driving a sheet transport belt obliquely with respect to the conveying direction with a simple configuration. At least one deflection roller has a conical running surface (with or without a crowned face). At least one belt travels over deflection rollers, including the at least one deflection roller, and the belt running direction is oblique with respect to the sheet transport direction.
