  • Patent number: 4920746
Abstract: Exhaust system for combustion engines, which comprises of a longtiudinally extending tubular member (1), in direction from a first end portion having a number of smooth portions (2, 2') alternating arranged with corrugated portions (3, 3'). At least one insert is arranged insertable into the longitudinally extending tubular member (1), held in inserted position substantially only by means of frictional contact between inserted insert and surrounding tubular member (1). The insert is arranged to cause exhaust fumes flowing through the tubular member (1) from the combustion engine to receive a changed chemical composition by means of catalytic action and/or to reduce the exhaust sound level by a change in the flow characteristics for the exhaust fumes.

  • Patent number: 4784029
Abstract: A sawing method involving in one direction continuously driven saw blades (1, 2) or saw wheels, according to which two saw blades (1, 2) or saw wheels are arranged in an adjacent position to each other, with associated saw teeths extending in an opposed relationship to each other. The saw blades (1, 2) or the saw wheels are thereafter caused to perform a continuous movement in opposite directions to each other in the operative direction for each saw blade (1, 2) or saw wheel, whereby same in a common and co-acting operation take up a saw cut in a workpiece. In order to maintain the saw teeths of the saw blades (1, 2) or the saw wheels separated from each other during a sawing operation, a pneumatical or hydraulical medium under pressure is advantageously supplied against the adjacently located surfaces of the saw blades (1, 2) or the saw wheels during the sawing operation.

  • Patent number: 4662143
Abstract: A conical tubular member has inwardly directed profilings (2, 2', 3, 3'), formed over a core with grooves arranged to receive the profilings (2, 2', 3, 3') and having a conical shape substantially corresponding to the internal shape of the member to be manufactured. Hydraulically and/or pneumatically applied force is divided over the surface of the tubular member by at least one flexible pressure applying member arranged surrounding the tubular member, and the member is thereafter formed into a conical shape corresponding to the shape of the core, the reduction in diameter of the member being compensated for by means of a change in the shape of the profilings (2, 2', 3, 3'). The member is advantageously manufactured from a material having through perforations, or a wire mesh material.

  • Patent number: 4611946
Abstract: Flexible joint, including at least two plate spring members (3, 3'), located separated from each other and extending substantially parallel in relation to each other, attached in connection to first and each other adjacently located end portions against a first element (1') and having opposed end portions movably attached against a second element (1). By introducing a substantially similar first displacement movement for the plate spring members (3, 3'), the elements (1, 1') can be separated from an abutting and linearly extending position, and by means of a continued and different displacement movement, the first element (1) is pivoted to an angularly different position of extension in relation to the second element (1).

  • Patent number: 4566300
Abstract: Method for the manufacture of a conical tubular member, and a conical tubular member manufactured according to the method, wherein as a first step a tubular member is formed having inwardly directed profilings (2, 2', 3, 3'), and said member thereafter is placed over a core with grooves arranged to receive said profilings (2, 2', 3, 3') and having a conical shape substantially corresponding to the internal shape of the member to be manufactured. By means of hydraulically and/or pneumatically applied force, divided over the surface of the tubular member by means of at least one flexible pressure applying member arranged surrounding the tubular member, said member is thereafter formed into a conical shape corresponding to the shape of the core, the reduction in diameter of the member being compensated for by means of a change in the shape of the profilings (2, 2', 3, 3'). The member is advantageously manufactured from a material having through perforations, or a wire mesh material.

  • Patent number: 4531856
Abstract: A joint for two elements wherein one element has an internal peripheral surface disposed in surrounding spaced relationship with respect to the external peripheral surface of the second element, comprising a ring-shaped expandable tubular member disposed between the internal and external peripheral surfaces of the elements to be joined, and having an explosive charge enclosed therein to expand the tubular member when ignited into contacting engagement with the internal and external peripheral surfaces, and holding and sealing members disposed between the internal and external peripheral surfaces to be forced into engagement with the internal and external peripheral surfaces by expansion of the tubular expandable member to increase the holding and sealing properties of the finished joint.

  • Patent number: 4515241
Abstract: A flag-pole (1), tiltable in direction towards an adjacent house or building, and at the lower portion (1') being provided with a device (6) facilitating climbing or transport of persons to the outer edge portion of the roof surface (2) of the house or building. At least the top portion (1") of the flag-pole is tiltable in relation to a vertical plane, thereby extending in a parallel relationship to the roof surface (2), but at a distance therefrom. Alternatively, both the lower portion (1') and the top portion (1") may be tiltable in the same direction, the top portion (1") thereby taking up the above described position, whereas the lower portion (1') takes up a less inclined position, intended to move the upper part of the lower portion (1') adjacent to the outer edge portion of the roof surface (2).

  • Patent number: 4446891
Abstract: A device and method for repairing and/or reinforcing a pipe system, according to which a tubular member (2) is inserted into a pipe (1) to be repaired, having sealed end portions and longitudinally extending impressions, or deformations (3, 3'), functioning to reduce the diameter of the tubular member (2) from its final diameter after use an explosive charge (4) with associated igniting device is arranged within the tubular member (2), whereby detonation of said explosive charge (4) causes expansion of the tubular member (2) to a surrounding contact position against the internal wall surface of the pipe (1). Advantageously the sealed end portions, or at least one of them, is opened and pressed into a sealing contact position against the surrounding pipe (1) by the force of the explosive charge.

  • Patent number: 4440521
Abstract: A method to distribute wear from passing vehicles to a road surface, according to which individual marks (3, 3', 4, 4', 5, 5') are applied to the road surface of each lane (1, 1') spaced apart from each other and extending in the direction of the road. The marks are applied in a side-by-side related distance that mainly corresponds to the width of each lane (1, 1'), and located in the lanes (1, 1') in such a way, that vehicles travelling in the lanes (1, 1') and passing over the marks (3, 3', 4, 4', 5, 5') with the wheels adjacent to the marks (3, 3', 4, 4', 5, 5') maintain the normal distance between each other corresponding to vehicles travelling in the center of the lanes (1, 1'). When the marks (3, 3', 4, 4', 5, 5') are mainly removed, due to the wear from vehicles passing over the marks (3, 3', 4, 4', 5, 5'), a new set of marks (3, 3', 4, 4', 5, 5') are applied, moved slightly sideways in relation to the marks (3, 3', 4, 4', 5, 5') first applied.
