  • Patent number: 9663189
Abstract: A three hulled T configuration displacement power boat that reduces weight by minimizing the structural without sacrificing boat length. The weight is evenly distributed between three hulls and is aligned in a T formation so that the overall boat length would be about three times the hull length. The structure, cargo and passenger(s) are supported above the water as shown in FIG. 1.

  • Patent number: 4609517
Abstract: A method and apparatus for flattening curled ones of a plurality of moving paper sheets subsequent to the printing and at least partial drying thereof is disclosed. The sheets are transported sequentially along a transport path, and the selected sheets are heated to a plasticizing temperature. The selected sheets are then stretched in both a longitudinal and a lateral direction with respect to the transport direction of the sheets.

  • Patent number: 4474367
Abstract: A sheet handling apparatus includes a rotatable hollow sheet transport drum with a plurality of openings extending therethrough, a vacuum supply for supplying a partial vacuum to the interior of the drum, a drive for rotating the drum, and a stationary deflection plate disposed adjacent the outer drum surface. A vacuum shield is mounted within the drum and is movable from a first position, remote from the inner wall of the drum, to a second position, adjacent the wall. The shield, when in its second position, prevents the partial vacuum from being applied to the leading portion of a sheet on the drum so as to permit the leading edge of the sheet to deflect outwardly from the drum and strike the deflection plate.

  • Patent number: 4466607
Abstract: A device for inverting a sheet includes an input and output transport means and a sheet receiving tray. Sheet deflectors are provided to deflect portions of a sheet as it leaves the input transport means and moves into the tray. A reversal drive arrangement, including a drive roller within a vacuum plenum, contacts a sheet supplied to the tray and moves the sheet into engagement with the sheet output transport means. This arrangement adds beam strength to a sheet entering the tray and permits a second sheet to be supplied to the tray prior to complete removal of the previously inverted sheet.

  • Patent number: 4453841
Abstract: A print system for duplex printing a plurality of document page images on a plurality of copy sheets includes means for storing print control information which defines the document images. An ink jet printer prints the page images on copy sheets as they are transported past a print station by a transport arrangement defining a closed sheet path. The sheet path is of sufficient length such that a number of copy sheets are transported simultaneously therethrough. A copy sheet inverter receives copy sheets sequentially from the sheet path after the sheets are printed on their first sides and returns them to the sheet path in an inverted orientation prior to printing on the second sides of the copy sheets.

  • Patent number: 4371276
Abstract: For use in an automatic paper feeder supplying paper to an automatic typing system, apparatus is provided for selectively stacking the output sheet material from the automatic typing system in either their original input sequence order or in the reverse thereof. The apparatus includes an output tray and mounting means therefor adapted to support the output tray in either of two predetermined positions on the automatic paper feeder. Feed rollers eject the output sheet material vertically from the automatic paper feeder. Deflection means included on the output tray, together with the predetermined position of the output tray, determines the sequencing of the output sheet material.

  • Patent number: 4203680
Abstract: A high-speed printer in which the carriage carrying a print wheel is coupled to a servo controlled driving motor having intermittent motion. The motor drives a helically grooved pulley, which has attached to it left and right cable segments. The other ends of the cable segments are attached to the movable carriage. A cable preload spring and friction pulley snubber combination maintains cable tension relatively constant. The snubber provides a tight cable system during normal carriage acceleration and deceleration. The preload spring allows for tension correction when the cable suffers from long-term stretching due to constructional stretching, that is, the normal tendency of wound cables to stretch due to seating of individual wires in the strand.
