  • Publication number: 20220101217
Abstract: A method and system for automatic technical assistance is provided. The technical assistant is first trained using the user profile of the users who will be accessing the technical assistant, and the workflow details. The technical assistant continuously monitors user screen and checks if the user is on the correct screen for the required workflow. Based on user confirmation an RPA bot resolves the error for the user. In an embodiment, the bot completes the workflow for the user. The bot may also provide guidance content to the user to help the user realize the error.

  • Publication number: 20220056342
Abstract: The present technology is generally directed to providing beds of coking material to charge a coking oven. In various embodiments, a quantity of first particulate material, having a first particulate size and bulk density, is combined with a second particulate material, having a second particulate size and bulk density, to define a multi-modal bed of coking material. The multi-modal bed of coking material exhibits an optimized bulk density that is greater than an ideal bulk density predicted by a linear combination of the bulk densities of the individual materials.

  • Patent number: 11238401
Abstract: Techniques for employing user interfaces to output information indicative of events occurring in an inventory facility, and receive feedback from a human regarding the events are described herein. In one implementation, an event may take place in an inventory facility, such as a customer taking an item from an inventory location, returning an item to an inventory location, and so forth. An automated system of an inventory management system may process sensor data collected by sensors in the inventory facility to determine details of the event. In some examples, the inventory management system is unable to determine with a high level of confidence what occurred during the event. The inventory management system may provide the sensor data to a human associate through an associate interface, and receive input regarding details of the event from the human associate through the associate interface.

  • Publication number: 20210396986
Abstract: An endoscope and lens cleaning device assembly includes a tubular body, a visualization device including a lens, and a lens cleaning device. The visualization device is supported on a distal portion of the tubular body. The lens cleaning device is supported on the distal portion of the tubular body and includes an iris mechanism having a plurality of vanes. The vanes are movable between a first position in which the vanes are positioned radially outwardly of the lens of the visualization device and a second position in which the vanes cover the lens of the visualization device. Each of the vanes has a cleaning surface that is positioned to contact the lens of the visualization device as the vanes move between the first and second positions to clean the lens of the visualization device.

  • Patent number: 11042838
Abstract: This disclosure describes interactive data processing systems configured to facilitate selection by a human associate of tentative results generated by an automated system from sensor data. In one implementation, an event may take place in a materials handling facility. The event may comprise a pick or place of an item from an inventory location, movement of a user, and so forth. The sensor data associated with the event is processed by an automated system to determine tentative results associated with the event. In some situations, an uncertainty may exist as to which of the tentative results accurately reflects the actual event. The system may then determine whether the event is to be merged with one or more temporally and spatially proximate events and, if so, the sensor data and tentative results for the merged event is sent to a human associate. The associate may select one of the tentative results.

  • Publication number: 20210182921
Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, systems for enabling physical retail stores and other facilities to implement automated-checkout techniques for the purchase of customizable and/or made-to-items items by customers of the stores and/or facilities. For example, the described systems may enable a retail store to implement technology where users are able to order customizable items from an ordering location, an inventory location, or an associate of the facility, and exit the store without performing manual checkout of the items. The systems described herein thus enable customized retail facilities, as opposed to a retail facility that allows automated-checkout only for prepackaged-type or otherwise non-customizable merchandise.

  • Patent number: 10956726
Abstract: Described are systems and methods for detecting objects using calibrated imaging devices and obfuscating, in real-time or near real time, portions of the video data to protect the privacy of operators represented in the video data. For example, a position of an operator within a fulfillment center may be determined or tracked in video data and the pixels representative of that operator may be obfuscated using pixilation and/or other techniques so that a reviewing agent that is viewing the video data cannot determine the identity of the operator. Such obfuscation may be performed in real-time or near real-time using automated processing. In addition, only portions of the video data may be obfuscated so that events (e.g., item picks, item place) and/or other objects represented in the video data are still viewable to the reviewing agent.

  • Patent number: 10909684
Abstract: Novel systems and methods for airway segmentation are disclosed using confident airway volume, multi-scale topological and geometric leakage detection, exact leakage localization and correction, forbidden volume insertion and freezing, iterative shift in growing techniques starting with a conservative parameter/strategy and progressing toward generous ones, and a final pruning using machine learning, neural network, deep learning or artificial intelligence methods. The systems and methods are fully automated requiring no manual inputs or post-editing steps. The systems and methods use region growing-based segmentation to iteratively grow an airway tree starting with an initial seed, possibly inside the trachea, and a conservative segmentation parameter, e.g., a conservative threshold value for intensity-based region growing. The method then gradually progresses toward more generous values of the segmentation parameters until there is convergence.

  • Publication number: 20200340717
Abstract: A solar-powered two-bed adsorption chiller which can operate after sunset when the solar radiation intensity becomes zero. Rechargeable solar-powered batteries (SPBs) are connected to a flat-plate solar collector (FPSC). The photoelectric charges are directed from FPSC to a solar charge controller (SCC) which acts as a charge amplifier thus magnifying the total charge before it is finally collected inside the SPB for future use. The SPB is in turn connected to a resistance heating wire (RHW) which is immersed inside the HWST.
