  • Publication number: 20220250074
Abstract: Methods and devices for creating monolayer arrays of cells or particles are described which may be used for high-throughput cell sorting and analysis, or other particle sorting applications. A cell loading system is described, the system comprising a porous mesh having a plurality of openings arranged in a random or repeating pattern across a surface. The porous mesh is used for preparing a layer of target particles, e.g., cells, distributed and spaced apart in a two-dimensional configuration on or within the mesh. Each of the plurality of openings in the mesh is configured to receive and permit a target particle to pass through when a fluid containing the target particles is dispensed on the surface of the mesh.

  • Patent number: 10500585
Abstract: The present invention provides methods, systems, assemblies, and articles for extracting restrained liquid (e.g., surface tension-restrained liquid) from open wells in a chip, where the restrained liquid does not flow out of the wells due to gravity when the wells are held upside down. For example, the present invention provides extraction fixtures that may be attached to, and/or held adjacent to, a chip such that any restrained liquid that is forced out of the open wells is collected by, or flows through, the extraction fixtures. Also for example, the present invention provides assemblies composed of a extraction fixture attached to, and/or held adjacent to, a chip, and methods of subjecting such assemblies to a force such that at least a portion of the restrained liquid in the open wells is forced out and collected by, or flows through, the extraction fixture.

  • Patent number: 10152687
Abstract: Building and maintaining an accurate and up-to-date inventory of applications deployed throughout an organization are described. In one aspect, an application directory facilitates automated and standardized entry of information on an application. The application directory provides a series of browser-rendered interfaces that collects data about the application. These different types of data are organized according to a logical data model that defines multiple hierarchical levels of data types and relationships amongst the hierarchical levels. The collection of registered applications forms an inventory that may be used to manage these assets. In another aspect, the application directory allows authorized users to manage the inventory of applications.

  • Publication number: 20180206107
Abstract: Provided is a radio communication system, a radio base station, a mobility management entity, a user device, and a communication control method in which an idle user device can be quickly and reliably returned to a connected state in a configuration in which a huge number of user devices (UE) are connected to a radio network such as in CIoT. The communication control method includes forwarding, when UE has transitioned from a connected state to an idle state, in which eNB forwards to MME AS Context that is a context of an access layer between the UE and the eNB; transmitting in which the MME transmits the AS Context to the eNB in response to an acquisition request of the AS Context from the eNB; and causing the eNB to return the UE to the connected state by using the AS Context transmitted from the MME.

  • Patent number: 9995662
Abstract: The present invention provides methods, systems, assemblies, and articles for capturing single cells with a polymer capture film. In certain embodiments, the polymer capture films comprise a plurality of individual channels with top and bottom openings, where the channels are dimensioned such that a single cell is: i) is captured inside the channel, partially or substantially occluding the channel, when negative pressure is provided to the bottom opening; or ii) is captured by the top opening, but does not enter the channel, when negative pressure is provided to the bottom opening. In some embodiments, the channels of the polymer capture film align with the wells of a multi-well chip such that the cell, or the contents of the single cell, may be transferred to a corresponding well.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods, systems, assemblies, and articles for capturing single cells with a capture chip. In certain embodiments, the capture chip comprises a substrate comprising a plurality of cell-sized dimples or wells that each allow a single cell to be captured from a cell suspension. In some embodiments, the dimples or wells of the capture chip align with the holes or wells of a multi-well through-hole chip, and/or a multi-well chip, such that the cell, or the contents of the single cell, may be transferred to a corresponding well of the multi-well chip. In particular embodiments, the bottom of each dimple or well of the capture chip has a positive electrical charge sufficient to attract cells from a cell suspension flowing over the dimples or wells.

  • Patent number: 9646284
Abstract: Building and maintaining an accurate and up-to-date global inventory of hardware, software, and telecommunications assets deployed throughout an organization is described. A global inventory warehouse (GIW) receives an identification and physical location of these assets from multiple source systems. Some of these source systems contain information pertaining to the assets that has been manually entered into the source system by a human administrator. Other source systems, meanwhile, contain information that has been automatically collected by the source systems without human intervention. The GIW receives this information from the source systems and stores it within a GIW database. The GIW database may thus contain a global inventory of all or nearly all of the hardware, software, and telecommunications assets distributed throughout the organization. This database may also contain an identification of physical locations within the organization of all or substantially all of these assets.
