Abstract: A thermoelectric generator unit, in particular for an exhaust system of a combustion engine, has an outer housing in which at least one first inner duct is arranged and through which a hot fluid flows. The unit has at least one thermoelectric module which is in thermal contact with the first inner duct on a hot side. At least one elastic compensating element is arranged within the outer housing, which generates a clamping force acting on the thermoelectric module. At least 60% of the elastic compensating element is made of an organic material.
