  • Patent number: 9334054
Abstract: An interior ceiling panel system includes a ceiling panel mounted in a ceiling area, a first airflow directing panel in a first side of the ceiling area defining an airflow passage, and a second airflow directing panel in a second side of the ceiling area, defining an eddy space. An airflow supply source introduces airflow into the ceiling area, and the second airflow directing panel provides an obstruction that creates an eddy in the eddy space that incoming airflow with air in the cabin. One or more speakers project sound energy upward toward the ceiling panel, which deflects sound energy to provide more uniform sound levels in the cabin.

  • Publication number: 20130081330
Abstract: An aircraft interior door assembly, such as for a lavatory, including a door panel configured to simultaneously pivot and translate within its opening, a first pair of linear door guides running parallel to the door opening for guiding pivoting and translational movement of the door panel, the door panel pivotally attached to the first pair of linear door guides mid-span along its length, and a second pair of linear door guides running along an adjacent wall at an angle to the door opening for guiding an attached side of the door panel along the adjacent wall.

  • Publication number: 20110255296
Abstract: An aircraft ceiling module includes a ceiling panel with integrated lighting, valences and wiring. LED lighting units are mounted directly to the ceiling panel, and one or more valence panels are connected to the ceiling panel to shield the LED lighting units. The valence panels are integral to the ceiling panel, and provide structural stiffness to overall construction of the ceiling module. Wiring connected to the LED lighting units is integrated into the ceiling panel.
