Abstract: A cooling mechanism for a photoreceptor includes: a photoreceptor of cylindrical shape; a pair of flanges respectively attached to both ends in an axial direction of the photoreceptor; a rotational shaft that is inserted into a shaft center of the photoreceptor; a holder that is disposed to face a first flange and rotatably supports the rotational shaft; and a main body frame that supports the holder. In such a cooling mechanism for a photoreceptor, an air duct is configured by the through hole formed in the flange and the concave portion formed on the holder, and discharges air flow generated inside the photoreceptor to the outside thereof.

Abstract: A fixing device includes a first and a second rollers which form a fixing nip portion, a separating member for sheets, a supporting mechanism and a contact portion. The separating member is displaced between a first posture in which the tip of the separating member is close to the circumferential surface of the first roller and a second posture in which the tip is distant from that. The contact portion forms a gap between the tip of the separating member and the circumferential surface of the first roller. The supporting mechanism includes a pair of supporting members arranged near the opposite ends of the first roller, pivot members extending from the separating members and serving as a pivot of rotation of the separating member, and long holes which are provided at the opposite ends of the separating member and into which the pivot members are inserted.

The operation lever is displaceable between an opening posture corresponding to the opening position and a closing posture corresponding to the closing position. The operation lever is displaced from the closing posture to the opening posture against a biasing force of the biasing member due to interference with a part of the opening cover when the opening cover is closed.
