  • Patent number: 5267066
Abstract: In a liquid crystal display device having pixels arranged in a matrix form, light is allowed to pass or blocked depending upon whether or not a voltage is applied to electrodes each corresponding to the pixels, and the display operation is conducted by controlling the transmission/nontransmission of light. When a conductor or switching element connected to an electrode is broken, it is not possible to apply such a voltage to the respective electrode. Such a pixel is always at the light transmission display state, with the result that the pixel becomes a bright spot, thereby degrading the display quality. Therefore, a blocking piece for blocking light is disposed over the pixel which becomes a bright spot. This prevents the bright spot from appearing, thereby improving the display quality.

  • Patent number: 4973982
Abstract: A recording head for a printer is manufactured by printing a thick film of paste containing an electrode material such as tungsten on a ceramic substrate with hardness nearly equal to or less than that of tungsten and firing the substrate and the film simultaneously in a single process.

  • Patent number: 4695847
Abstract: According to the recording technology of this invention, the recording sheet on a recording paper has two layers: a resistive layer and a thermally fusible solid ink layer. A plurality of needle electrodes are in contact with the recording sheet and a means is provided to cause electric currents to flow between selected pairs of mutually adjacent electrodes such that the ink layer is thermally fused for recording.

  • Patent number: 4337472
Abstract: A recording head is disclosed which comprises an array of pin electrodes of copper wires and a plurality of pairs of auxiliary electrodes. Two lead frames are mounted to sandwich the array of pin electrodes, with one end of each lead frame serving as auxiliary electrode regions and the other end serving as lead terminals. Standing studs are planted on a printed circuit board for common connection of electrically conductive wires which connect to the pin electrodes at their tip portions and pass through the spacing between the two adjacent lead terminals.

  • Patent number: 4294192
Abstract: A liquid developing system for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on a copy paper includes a mesh plate development electrode disposed in a traveling path of the copy paper so that the image carrying surface of the copy paper confronts the mesh plate development electrode. A developer liquid supplying roller is provided for supplying the developer liquid to the mesh plate development electrode for forming a swelling developer liquid surface on the mesh plate development electrode. The image carrying surface of the copy paper makes contact with the thus formed swelling developer liquid surface, and the superfluous developer liquid is removed through the mesh plate development electrode.

  • Patent number: 4146789
Abstract: A multi-pin electrode includes a plurality of pin electrodes which are divided into n groups, each having m pin electrodes. The assembly further includes an elongated body and m sheets of elongated plate members which are cumulated one over the other on the elongated body. The pin electrodes in one group are connected in such a manner that the first, second, . . . , mth pin electrodes are connected between the elongated body and first, second, . . . , mth elongated plate members, respectively, so as to have the pin electrodes positioned in the same places in each group electrically terminate in the same elongated plate member.
