  • Publication number: 20070083433
Abstract: A system and method for operating a buyer reward system used by one or more sellers independent of market venue or ecommerce software to reward buyers with a discount for opting-in to the seller's reward program and email list and for making subsequent purchases; said reward disbursed using payment transfer agent coupon codes entered during buyer payment via the specific payment transfer agent. The reward system assigns and activates an opt-in first payment transfer agent coupon code for a seller to offer buyers purchasing from the registered seller. Next, the reward system creates a unique computer graphic image or specific text for the seller to present the opt-in payment transfer agent coupon code to potential buyers at the point-of-sale on an HTML selling page. To receive the reward, as instructed in the image, the buyer uses the seller's displayed opt-in payment transfer agent coupon code during the payment transaction using the named payment transfer agent.

  • Publication number: 20070022007
Abstract: A seller registers with a loyalty reward program and provides access authorization for the seller's payment transaction information to a payment transfer agent, and receives HTML for displaying a reward offer to a buyer, which is presented in response to a browser accessing a selling page. Information from the selling page is captured and stored it in a database, and a portal page enables buyers to search for items offering a reward, ranking results by highest percentage reward, so items matching sellers with prior transactions with the buyer are placed higher. Periodically, the payment transfer agent is accessed to capture seller payment transaction information, to send a loyalty invitation email to the buyer. Invitation acceptance is recorded, and pending rewards are sent to the payment transfer agent for fulfillment. Repeat transactions are stimulated by sending marketing emails to the address used as an account identifier by the buyer.

  • Publication number: 20060212364
Abstract: Creating and displaying a repeat customer transaction counter showing a current cumulative count of repeat transactions for an individual seller at a market venue. The seller registers and identifies his/her self-verified existing repeat transaction count and/or uploads a file of historical transaction information to create a starting count. The seller is next sent HTML text for the display of the seller's unique repeat customer transaction counter. The cumulative count is continually incremented by subsequent transactions concluded by prior buyers. The counter image is presented in response to a call from the HTML text placed by the seller on a web page at a market venue or in an HTML enabled email sent to the buyer. The counter shows a cumulative repeat transaction count, indicating prior buyer trust in the seller, as evidenced by repeat purchases. Alternatively, a clock shows the elapsed time since the last repeat transaction.

  • Publication number: 20050261994
Abstract: A system and method for enabling sellers to have an automatically created advertising message placed into a pending presentation opportunity such as an email or web page targeted to a known buyer based on matching seller specific parameters to known buyer attributes. The system also creates a promotional offer to be inserted with each advertising message. A computer program matches the seller campaign to the pending presentation opportunity record. Then, a further computer program creates the eligible seller's advertising messages by polling their market venue for their then active listings and appending them to the pending presentation opportunity record. A further computer program on the system creates and assigns promotional offers to each seller advertising message by executing instructions predetermined by the seller. Once the messages and promotions are created, the system composes and posts the final presentation for access by the buyer.

  • Publication number: 20040225563
Abstract: Automatic creation of bonus store credit by validating a transaction to determine any credit owed to the buyer and using that credit in a second transaction with the seller. A seller registers as a provider of bonus store credit and receives text to display on their selling page. When a transaction closes, the system is notified, captures relevant data from the notification and from the selling page, and qualifies a credit amount, by meeting or exceeding fixed price or minimum bid levels described on the selling page. The buyer receives a notification of any qualified credit amount. Update notifications to the buyer via electronic messages remind her of her open credit and promote the seller's other offerings by additional links to other listings. The system recognizes any second transaction occurring between the buyer and seller and validates it as eligible for the application of the credit.
