  • Publication number: 20220324541
Abstract: A structure for an offshore plant has a plurality of module portions mounted on a structure body in which a storage tank for storing liquefied natural gas is installed. A pump opening serving as the inlet/outlet of a pump for pumping up the liquefied natural gas from the storage tank is formed in the structure body, and the pump opening is disposed between the module portions adjacent to each other.

  • Patent number: 10245676
Abstract: In the present disclosure, friction stir welding tools having probes and stationary shoulders are disposed at corners between a first workpiece and a second workpiece. A welding device main body includes axially perpendicular movement units for moving spindle units, which hold the respective friction stir welding tools on a frame, in directions perpendicular to rotary shafts of probes, and axial movement units for moving the spindle units in directions parallel to the rotary shafts of the probes.

  • Publication number: 20170297142
Abstract: The present disclosure arranges a pair of friction stir welding tools including probes and fixed shoulders at corner portions between a first workpiece and a second workpiece. The friction stir welding tools are arranged so that regions where the probes are embedded in the respective the corner portions and stirred are positioned symmetrically with respect to the second workpiece. With this arrangement of the friction stir welding tools, the corner portions are friction stir welded simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 8875980
Abstract: In a friction stir welding apparatus, workpiece fixing surface plates (3a, 3b) are installed on a framework (1). In addition, a welding apparatus main body (8) including a bobbin tool (5) having a probe (5a) protruding upward from a gap (4), a spindle (6) configured to attach the bobbin tool (5) to an upper end section thereof, and a spindle driving apparatus (7) configured to pivot the spindle (6) is movably installed at the framework (1) in a longitudinal direction of the gap (4) via linear guide mechanisms (9) installed at both sides of the welding apparatus main body (8). Further, a moving apparatus (10) is installed to move the welding apparatus main body (8) in the longitudinal direction of the gap (4). According to the friction stir welding apparatus, since the welding apparatus main body (8) is supported by the framework (1) via both of the linear guide mechanisms (9), a large welding reaction force can be sufficiently received.
