Abstract: A device for holding a removable mirror plate of a rearview mirror for a motor vehicle and comprising a mirror holder for supporting the mirror plate, a holder plate for supporting the mirror holder, an assembly for tiltably supporting the holder plate and including a pivot provided on a surface of said holder plate and having upper and lower portions, a latch assembly located between the mirror holder and the holder plate at the upper portion of the pivot for latching the mirror holder to the holder plate, and a fixing assembly for fixing the mirror holder to the holder plate.

Abstract: A small-sized, light-weight, low-priced tensionless seat belt retractor such that it is possible to provide a necessary, sufficient, safe slack to the driver or the passenger under a tensionless condition. The tensionless seat belt retractor according to the present invention comprises a follower and a guide disk slidably brought into contact with the flange portion of the spool and provided with a circular-arc reverse-direction follower-guide portion, a several-turn spiral follower-guide portion, and a spool locking hole, in addition to the conventional seat belt retractor. The follower and guide disk set the slack at a preset tensionless length not requiring resetting when the occupant returns from a forward leaning position.

Abstract: A seat belt retractor for a safety belt arrangement having a seat belt for reliably restraining and safely protecting a seat belt occupant, comprises belt retracting means for retracting the seat belt, belt slackening means for slackening the seat belt by allowing the seat belt to be pulled out by a predetermined length after the seat belt is retracted and tightened on the seat occupant by the seat belt retracting means; tension eliminating means for permitting the seat belt to assume a tensionless belt position where the seat belt is maintained tensionless after being slackened by the belt slackening means; and tensionless belt position memorizing means for memorizing the tensionless belt position of the seat belt so as to enable the seat belt to be retracted to the tensionless position by the belt retracting means when the seat belt is pulled out beyond the tensionless belt position of the seat belt.
