  • Patent number: 4505101
Abstract: An apparatus for removing trash in an open-end spinning frame is disclosed herein. According to the invention, an open-end spinning unit is provided with a trash transporting chamber which is communicated with an opening which is formed on part of the inner peripheral surface of a space in which a combing roller is rotatably disposed and through which part of the circumferential surface of the rotating combing roller is exposed. The trash transporting chamber is so constructed that its interior is placed substantially under an atmospheric pressure, and a side wall thereof facing opposedly toward the opening is spaced from the circumferential surface of the combing roller exposed through said opening at a distance falling within a range from a dimension which is substantially equal to the diameter of the combing roller to a dimension which is about two times said diameter.

  • Patent number: 4489547
Abstract: A fiber control apparatus in an open end spinning frame, which is a spinning rotor provided with a structure capable of producing a rotary stream by which breaking or bending of fibers or formation of floating fibers in a spinning chamber of the rotor can be effectively controlled. This structure is mainly characterized by the arrangement of the exhaust vents formed in the spinning rotor.

  • Patent number: 4483135
Abstract: A dust-removing mechanism in an open-end spinning frame has a dust-removing chamber into which a dust-removing opening opens, the dust-removing opening being defined by a rear wall disposed upstream in the direction of rotation of the combing roller and having an edge and a front wall disposed downstream in the direction, there being an angle .alpha. formed between first and second lines passing through the front and rear wall edges and the center of the combing roller, an angle .beta. formed between a third line passing through the center of the combing roller and the center of an opening in the rotor and a fourth line passing through the center of the combing roller perpendicularly to the third line, an angle .UPSILON. formed between a surface of the front wall and a fifth line extending parallel to the fourth line through the front wall edge, and an angle .delta.

  • Patent number: 4481766
Abstract: A yarn draw off tube for an open-end spinning unit which improves the twist transmission to a fiber ribbon in a spinning rotor. The yarn draw off tube is provided with a yarn inlet on the top wall thereof and a yarn outlet on the lower side wall thereof, and the yarn inlet is eccentric from the center in a direction opposite to the yarn outlet. In the spinning operation, a twist imparted to a yarn drawn off from the spinning rotor can smoothly be transmitted to the root portion thereof. Thereby, yarn breakage is restrained and a yarn of good appearance and strength can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 4481765
Abstract: A sliver guide has a restrictor and deflectors for imposing uniform transverse forces on a sliver immediately before the latter is supplied to a feed roller in an open-end spinning unit, thereby spreading the sliver and loosening the core thereof. The sliver guide serves to prevent grain variations and neps that are otherwise caused in the spun yarn by the hard core and twists of the sliver which naturally form as the latter is being produced.

  • Patent number: 4471608
Abstract: A rotor type open-end spinning unit in which in order to prevent blowing of air to the rear of an outlet of a fiber transporting channel formed in a spinning body and impingement of an air stream from the fiber transporting channel against the back face of a separator, the rear end of the outlet of the fiber transporting channel on the central side of a rotor is expanded forward of an imaginary line, connected between the rear end of the channel outlet furthest from the center of the rotor and the center of the rotor, and the angle .alpha. between the face of the fiber transporting channel confronting the combing roller and the plane intersecting the axis of the rotor at a right angle is made substantially equal to the taper angle .theta. of the back face of the separator.
