  • Patent number: 8319155
Abstract: An object in the present invention is to provide a column oven capable of maintaining excellent temperature stability despite ambient temperature changes around the column oven. A column oven 10 has an outer chamber 12, an inner chamber 14 disposed in the outer chamber 12, and column 16 disposed in the inner chamber 14. The outer chamber includes heater 18, fan 20 for the outer chamber for circulating air heated by the heater 18, and a temperature sensor 22 for the outer chamber for detecting temperature inside the outer chamber. The inner chamber 14 includes fans 24 for the inner chamber and a temperature sensor 26 for the inner chamber for detecting temperature inside the inner chamber. An inner chamber wall is spaced-apart from an outer chamber wall. A target temperature in the outer chamber is set based on temperature detected by the temperature sensor 26 for the inner chamber.

  • Patent number: 6712962
Abstract: An ion chromatography system having a suppressor means which is provided with a main body for accommodating an ion exchanger ready for measuring; a chamber for accommodating a virgin ion exchanger, and an automatic exchanging means which discharges a used ion exchanger from the main body after an optional number of times of measurement and supplies the ion exchanger accommodated in the chamber to the main body. The ion chromatography system can measure a slight amount of ion species in a sample at a high sensitivity by conducting continuously a large number of times of measurement while the discharge of waste liquid can be minimized without causing a reduction of suppressing effect and a reduction of resolution performance of a desired ion species.

  • Patent number: 6412763
Abstract: A rotary cylinder actuator has a piston rod placed in a cylinder, provided in its surface with a guide groove and capable of being moved axially between a position corresponding to a clamping angular position and a position corresponding to an unclamping angular position. A guide member is attached to the cylinder to engage in the guide groove. The piston rod turns from a first angular end position toward a second angular end position for normal turning and turns from the second angular end position toward the first angular end position for reverse turning. The opposite guide surfaces of the guide groove serve as a first guide surface for normal turning and a second guide surface for reverse turning, respectively, so that the guide member moves relative to the piston along different paths in the guide groove while the piston rod turns for normal turning and reverse turning, respectively.
