  • Patent number: 8292035
Abstract: There is provided an oil/air lubrication system capable of surely detecting lubrication oil in oil/air adapted to be fed into a rotary portion of a machine tool. A detection means which is provided to a pipe line in the vicinity of a mixing valve, just downstream of the mixing valve, is adapted to detect a flow of lubrication oil with the use of electromagnetic waves, and accordingly, a flow of air/oil can be accurately detected, irrespective of vibration of the machine tool, influence by the gravity, variation in the flow and a length of the pipe line from the mixing valve to the machine tool, and irrespective of a viscosity of the lubrication oil, and as well, irrespective of the installation of the detecting portion of the detecting means in a vertical direction or a horizontal direction.

  • Patent number: 5907900
Abstract: A component mounting device mounts electronic components from several component stages on a printed circuit board. The component mounting device includes a mounting head, a camera unit, and a selection unit. The mounting head, movably installed between the component stage and the printed circuit board, includes a suction element and a position determination chuck. The suction element picks up and thereafter supports the component, and the position determination chuck corrects the position of the supported component. The camera unit, installed within a movement range of the mounting head, receives an image of the component supported by the suction element. The selection unit selects either the position determination chuck or the camera unit to correct the position of the component supported by the suction element.

  • Patent number: 5850683
Abstract: A component mounting apparatus includes an eccentric cam installed to rotate counterclockwise or clockwise with respect to a holder of a mounting head, and a follower connected to a suction bit and contacting a surface of the eccentric cam. Rotating the eccentric cam by a predetermined degree moves the follower which, in turn, moves the suction bit up and down. The shape of the surface of the eccentric cam is designed such that the upward-movement speed of the suction bit is different from the downward-movement speed of the suction bit due to the rotation of the eccentric cam. The shape of the surface of the eccentric cam is such that the suction bit moves slowly downward and then rapidly upward when the eccentric cam rotates in one direction, and moves rapidly downward and then slowly upward when the eccentric cam rotates in the other direction.

  • Patent number: 5012454
Abstract: A speed meter measures low range speeds such as feed speeds on a machining devices. Ultrasonic waves are radiated against a mobile object performing a linear displacement with respect to a detection head, and ultrasonic waves reflected by the mobile object are used for controlling the state of a pair of signal gating elements. Clock pulses passed to the elements are gated over different periods phased from each other by an operation interval which can be adjusted depending on the process conditions. Distances between the detection head and the mobile object in the different periods are specified by count values obtained from the results of respective gating, and the average speed of the linear displacement of the mobile object is calculated on the basis of these count values. Digital mode processing of the signals simplifies the construction and lowers the production cost.
