  • Patent number: 11518976
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a method for efficiently obtaining a lactic acid bacterium that is made to contain a large amount of double-stranded RNA; and a lactic acid bacterium having a high double-stranded RNA content obtained by the method. The object is achieved by: (1) a method for producing a double-stranded RNA-containing lactic acid bacterium, including a step of culturing a lactic acid bacterium under at least one condition of an aeration condition and a low-temperature condition lower than an optimum temperature, thereby obtaining the double-stranded RNA-containing lactic acid bacterium; (2) a double-stranded RNA-containing lactic acid bacterium, in which the content of double-stranded RNA is 2.0 times or more as compared with the content of double-stranded RNA when a bacterium of the same strain is cultured for the same culture time under an optimum temperature and non-aeration condition; or the like.

  • Publication number: 20210301250
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a composition containing, as an active ingredient, a substance having rich history of use in foods or an ingestion experience in human and having an effect of inhibiting Fc?RI expression on a pDC. This purpose can be achieved by a composition for activating plasmacytoid dendritic cell comprising: at least one active ingredient selected from the group consisting of a bacterial cell, a bacterial component, and a culture of Pediococcus lactic acid bacteria, and a product obtained by treating any one of them, and having an effect of inhibiting Fc?RI expression on a plasmacytoid dendritic cell.

  • Patent number: 8334371
Abstract: An immunoregulator that is safe and efficiently incorporated into cells along with a production process thereof are provided. Double-stranded RNA derived from lactic acid bacteria, an immunoregulator having for an active ingredient thereof double-stranded RNA derived from lactic acid bacteria, and a process for producing double-stranded RNA derived from lactic acid bacteria are provided. Bacteria cells of a strains of lactic acid bacteria such as genus Tetragenococcus, genus Pediococcus, genus Lactobacillus, genus Streptococcus or genus Leuconostoc are able to produce double-stranded RNA having immunoregulatory action therein.

  • Publication number: 20110256611
Abstract: An interferon ? production promoter and a method for producing thereof are provided. The interferon ? production promoter has a culture, a cell or cell components of lactic acid bacteria as an active ingredient thereof. RNA can be used for the cell component. In addition, bacteria belonging to the genus Lactobacillus, Tetragenococcus, Pediococcus or Streptococcus can be used for the lactic acid bacteria. The interferon ? production promoter can be produced by culturing lactic acid bacteria and collecting a culture, a cell or cell components thereof.
